Most of the map is unclaimed with no religion, including China, Europe and the Americas barring Vinland. Is this intentional?

I am running with only the other VEF sub mods with an up to date version but a number of Persian Vassals and pala are loading as the country tag and are failing to load their names.

Secondary thing I've noticed about the Byzantine mission tree here. "Expedition to Sicily" requires you to conquer Sicily and Malta. That's fine and good, but Byzantium doesn't start with a claim on Sicily and there's no way to fabricate one without bordering it. In other words, you'd have to go through Italy first, which makes half the mission tree obsolete. How are you supposed to do it, dynastic claims?

When running this mod along with the main VeF mod, and having Purple Phoenix DLC enabled, the game attempted to combine the mission trees added by this mod's VEF_Byzantine_Missions.txt file and the file PP_Purple_Phoenix.txt in the main mod. This caused the mission tree to become extremely confused, and also caused repeated crashing when viewing the missions. In order to resolve this problem, I had to delete PP_Purple_Phoenix.txt from the main mod archive. Hopefully there's some way to have VEF_Byzantine_Missions.txt overwrite it, though.

The provinces 444(Kurland), 445(Tuckum), 446(Semgallen), 449(Selburg), and 451(Oberlitauen) have no_culture for their culture.
The history files for the provinces have old_prussian listed, yet old_prussian is not a culture within the 00_cultures file.

@Y.K.W. - that's a function of us not updating the provinces files. My fault. I'll try to get this fixed for the next release!

@penguintopia every provice get a level1 fort, i have to fight in offensive wherever i go, its too too too unfriendly to small contry. However, this mod does surprise me a lot, huge fun.

Well, apparently VeF doesn't appear in my mod list. Only VeF Glory of Byzantium, Native addon (which I dont' use since I think it's outdated) and hotfix. I tried resubbing to the base VeF, and also let the game run for 10 minutes and then relaunch it as stated in the description on the mod page. IDK.

At the beginning when I loaded the save. But now it crashes if I just run the game with the mod enabled (can't even get to main menu).

Oh and you should probably take into account if they're your cores (maybe tie it to separatism generated as well?). I initially encountered this taking back byzantine land pretty fast. As it is right now you have to take stab hits if you're gonna take back your cores before they expire.

Just make it check how big % of your development the conquered provinces constitute? It's just really annoying when you're starting to grow but you have to just sit on your ass for ages without being able to do much because of this if you don't want to just kill your stab (we're talking years per territory even if you have a nation without any revolt chance at all). Of course you can just ignore stab and deal with it, but it just kills the RP part of the game.

100 is way too much, lol. At least when it doesn't take into account your nation size. That means if you're at "neutral" stab (0), taking 5 provinces will instantly knock you down a level. Sure might make sense if you're a tiny nation, but a 1000~ development nation being shaken to it's core by increasing it's development by 15? lol.

@XartaX - there is a staiblity penalty for taking provices, which matches what would have historucally happened. You'll gain it back fairly quickly under peace.

@Sycoperson, The powerful King of Mali did not seek out Islam, just like all other religions, Islam in Africa was spread at firt by trade then by war. North African merchants brought the religion down with them, and the generally unified language facilitated trade much better than the many different languages being used in the region. The nations closest to the Sahara benefitted the most from trade and therefore were the wealthiest and most able to conquer. Mali's King was adevout Muslim and when he conquered he brought his religion with him. Calling the sub saharan African sunni muslims would have been a bit of a stretch they were more like Sufi Muslims and mystics, practicing a much more tolerant strain than the Berber pirate to the North.

@ilikeswordz One of the kings (powerful ones, i think he was king of Mali) in West Africa actually was one of, if not the biggest reason for West Africa's conversion because he had converted to Islam (can't remember how, but it was non-violent and I believe he seeked it out himself) and then encouraged his subjects to convert, which they did. I would assume none of that would've been affected, or atleast have been slightly affected, if Byzantium and Persia had repelled the Muslims in Arabia
