I'll try her out in depth and see how she plays before commenting any further though.
It would also allow for more utility with invisibility if she was considerably weaker in the health department, because then it would become almost necessary. Passive attack methods or making monsters fight each other would be her main method of taking on hard enemies.
Also being physically weaker, like Wendy, would add to her character as well.
All of that combined with her already weak base sanity would make her a more difficult character to play, but nuanced; playing passive, weak, and timid with a low base health/attack avoiding conflicts with non-aggressive enemies because of sanity hits.
To balance her out, being able to run faster (a slender paranoid elf would certainly get in enough running hours to be good at it) would be a simple bonus to add without straying from the style of the character.
Everyone is entitled to their own onion.
I guess u do not understand the point of Health. Especially since having Sanity drained
while combat with a low Sanity pool is basically hindering any kind of Tankiness.
The Health in Don't Starve is more for Survival, not Tanking.
But it's okay, everyone needs to learn even the simplest things, welcome to DST :)
All the klei characters (except for webber and wolfgang's other statuses) have 150 hp. If the general consensus is that she is balanced I guess I can let people play as her.
@ლ( `Д’ ლ)
"Tanky" characters simply get more hp. Are you arguing otherwise just for the sake of it? I was not using the 1337 g8mr definition. It's just a word.
How is having a lot of Health Tanky? As i can see you never played any Tank in any kind of MMORPG. Getting more Heal / Recovery and Resistance is Tanky. Not your Healthpool.
The Character Design basically shouts "Surviving". Which is pretty useful in Don't Starve. Considering its a Survival Game.
@Character
Great mod, been using and enabling her on my Server, saw a lot of others Server with
your mod too. People love your Char, it looks really professional and so do i.
But...
Iam more interested in Fighting, which she seems to lack the Skill to do so.
Using her Amulet needs a lot of micro management to use Armor and backpacks.
So it's not for me, but my friends and the people on other Servers, especially people
who like to collect the most or Explore seem to love her a lot :D
I'm asking what exactly would a player use this character for. The niche. If I pick this character, what should I be doing for maximum profit.
2. Why, because elves have no health? That's a really bad cliche dude. Just like 'all women have to cook' Or sth like that. Since elves don't exist in real life, there's no prove that they are very vulnerable, therefore it's a bad cliche. I pretty much based her stats on what her personality is.
you should make more like an elf wepons smith
but in all honesty shes really fun to play also a challenge keep up the good work author
Also @JCM I think you can just install her for RoG, all of her text for it has been done I just haven't uploaded her to that workshop yet because I just recently purchased the singleplayer version of the game.
I think that she's a little bit underpowered. Her sanity loss is pretty big! I think it would be good for her to have twice the sanity loss, but still have a good amount of base sanity to make the amulet viable. Perhaps the amount of health that she has matches with the fact that she's an elf, but it might be a good idea to say, subtract 25 health, and add sanity
I've found that her animal mechanic is easy to abuse. Get an inventory full of rabbits, someone else kills them. Clean out a biome, get a good stock of earmuffs + food. It would probably be a lot more balanced to make her go a *little* insane while trapping as well.
I know thats she have low sanity because of the amulet. I don't know if she become op with more sanity, because of the amulet, but i also think less health and more sanity could be good.
I also see no reason for the amulet at the moment. Its a fine feature but with this sanity you better won't use it. ^^"
The game didn't crash when I used it.
