{CK}MuffinMan order infantry to jump over the trench walls, infantry can jump over almost all the walls in the map. :)

IceMan2000 I'll make more when I'm able to, cause this single map took me all christmas to finish.

CasTroy, you have been my inspiration, it was after playing your carentan map that I decided to make a map myself, its awesome.

The map is amazing but what about the flak turrets in the trench part you cant get to them unless you want to put airborne on them just a suggestion

Excellent map! Really lets you get things moving and have some epic tank battles. All the static defense stuff in the middle is a really cool idea and a really cool look, but I didn't have much use for any of them. Good job all around!

Nukke92 , the location ''Enix'' is fictional. but yes, it could pretty much be a location in the french coastline. D-day has already happened, tjis is just a battle in the coastline, and i wanted to have it balanced, if teams started in those 2 very different parts, I would not have achieved that, plus there are quite a lot of D-day maps in the workshop where you start in the beach, and some of them are and play pretty good :)

all that is true but once Panthers and IS-2s become things on the battlefield the usefullness of most AT guns drop like a rock, especially considering Panthers and IS-2s run over tank traps.

- The trenches: A good managament of different types of infantry units and artillery is enough to hold this territory for a long time. There is quite a lot of cover, and vehicles cant manouver really well. It is recommended to use an infantry and vehicle combination here in case infantry has to face the heavier vehicles the enemy owns, as he could Rush with that and break your defensive line.
- The town: The area for infantry to rule. Its full of cover and narrow streets to make ambushes, and vehicles can suffer a lot there. If you control the bridges, hardly any vejhicles are going to get through as it will most probably be infested of mines and at units. You are going to need the versatility of infantry here. Bare also in mind that if the river walls get destroyed, you can cross the river with infantry in some spots, so if the enemh pays much attention to the bridges, you can sneak in that way.

The map has 4 different parts for different type of gameplay and use of strategies:

- The fields: those are in the open and there are only bushes and wooden walls for light cover, maybe some vehicles or objects for heavy cover in some spots, but not many. It is rrcommended to use vehicles here, though you have to be careful of the trenches and buildings next to the farm fields cause infantry could ambush you.
- The beach: Another open area, but with more heavy cover such as sandbags, destroyed vehicles, craters and tanktraps. Still infantry is very vulnerable to artillery and vehicles as vehicles can manouver almost freely there, so its a pretty good area for tank warfare. If you control the obsrrvation tower point next to the cliff, you can see a large portion of the beach and use artillery and other antitank units from the cliffs to attack the enemy in the beach.

Lwantssugar, the trenches are protection for infantry, you can even place antitank guns there. They also act as barriers for tanks, so they cant move as freely as other units, and they have to divert if they want to advance, a moment where you can use your at infantry to surround them and attack from the sides and behind. Vehicles in General cant move freely there as the trenches fill a large part of the terrain, and it is full of tanktraps and other objects, so ypu can even use heavy artillery to destroy those tanks. Just with infantry, heavymachineguns, snipers, mortars and at guns you can hold the line for quite a long time. Of course to take down late game heavy vehicles you need higher firepower and heavier units, but still infantry is pretty useful there to hold the middle map points. The flak guns are useful too for enemies that try to surround you and to counter air strikes.

its cool and all but Id pair it with a mod that either removes or rebalances tanks because all the trenches and nice fortifications are meaningless once you roll out Pz 4's or Panthers

If you haven't already figured it out, keep your Description in a text file so you can just use copy and paste to replace it here every time Steam overwrites it on an update.

I didn't know I could make change notes every time i update the map, thank you, i always had to edit the full text when I updated it.

@The redline. Yes it took me so many hours just to find the map objects and learn about the editor. Lucky i'm used to make maps for many other games such as world in conflict, so well, probably this is the reason why it's quite impressive even if it's my first map.

My bad - troops can get to the AA positions by jumping the trench walls.

Nice map.

FYI, the AA positions in the middle of the map can't be taken over, because there isn't a ramp to allow troops access.

Also, it's OK to put the change logs where you did, but in case you didn't know there is a "Change Notes" above the images and description, and a new blank entry is created every time you publish an update.
