Not sure if you're still active on Steam, but if you ever see this it would be really helpful if you added a hud element for indicating which element your aligned too as it can be rather frustrating after loading a quick save to walk on a bridge and falling through because there's no indication of which element you're aligned too .

I have made a sequel to this map, but located in the desert! Same mechanics but a tiny bit more refined so it's not Alpha anymore: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1659184357

Cool ideas presented. The way some of the puzzle elements were telegraphed was a bit sketchy, but I can forgive it as this is a proof-of-concept. Awesome job! Looking forward to whatever this project may become in the future!

What a fantastic concept. I was a little unclear as to what some of the things did controlling the light-bridges , but once I'd worked it out I thought there were some very clever puzzles there, especially the final one. Played it today on my stream, time-stamped link below if you would like to see my run. I appreciate that this is an "older" map, but are there any plans to make further maps?

Astonishing map with an atmospherical and pleasant voice. Altough it is a bit quiet compared to the sound effects. Interesting modification, forcing a new way of thinking and overall a great execution in mapdesign. I´m really impressed! Thanks for taking the time to create such a gem for the portal community! Ever thought of transferring this to the real world? Would be an surprising exit-strategy for the next awkward situation I stumble upon. ;)

Beautifully done! Unique and challenging. Pure logic and execution! Amazing what variations are possible with the Portal 2 platform Thanks!

@wolf bytes there's a hud element that shows that, but valve in their infinite wisdom made it so onscreen text aligned to the right breaks and doesn't show up if you use a widescreen (i basically built this in a couple of days for a youtube channel, and i didn't have a widescreen monitor until last week so i didn't even know about the bug until it was too late for the show). at some point i'm going to come back to this and add a working hud notification for it for widescreen monitors... just been too busy lately

I really like the concept, except I can't figure out when the bridges in the second room are active or not. Maybe try brighteninging/transparancy with them--any sort of indicator would do.
Kazitor 27 Mar, 2015 @ 5:54am
Unique concept and very fun! If there was a way to make switching less disorientating, that'd be great! Though it's still perfectly fine how it is.
Riblek 5 Feb, 2015 @ 4:12am
very impressive map! I still wonder how you did this

Outstanding map. Takes a bit to get used to, but once you've got the hang of it, it's just plain brilliant. Well done mate.

Impressive map! This is the best custom concept for Portal2 SO FAR!!! :D Amazing, engaging, clean, even twisted at places! Very very good! Thanks for creating such a gem!

Cheers!

When I first loaded it didn't work as you'll see here... http://youtu.be/X-xhPf7ykIE
Once I unsubscribed, restarted Portal then subscribed again it worked fine as seen here...

Absolutely loved the concept and the fact that you actually made a decent test of tests as well. Most people just show something new, but don't give any puzzles. Huge thumbs up and can't wait to see more. I can definitely see how this could be used for some seriously brain bashing puzzles.

...how does the red star orb work. What exactly do you mean by aligning yourself with it?

Super. Jestem pod pozytywnym wrażeniem, szczególnie, że lubie średniowieczne zamki. :) Proszę o więcej.

Super. I am very favorably impressed, especially since I like medieval castles. :) Please, more.

Looks like it took a team to create. Beautifully made concept with a wonderful set of puzzles to complement. Thank you for all the work.
ranecks 17 Jan, 2015 @ 8:48pm
dtanas12, I think it took me two days to catch on to the first test, but after that it was very exciting. First walk into the fire icon. Walk down the steps, pick up the cube and lift it over your head. Set it down on the first ledge in front of you, then left click and pow. You will find yourself on top of the ledge with the cube down below. Here is the trick, Bend down low by pressing the control key and you will be able to pick up the cube by pressing E. Bring the cube up to your level and Place it over your head and place it on the ledge in front of you, left click and pow you will be at the top

I don't understand what to do. In the first puzzle, it's confusing.

Talos Principle style....Not bad ! Good work on this alpha :)

@wildgoosespeeder - There is some text displaying the player's current alignment, but it doesn't show up on 16:9 aspect ratio.
