As a Chinese (yes this Chinese is a noun lol) it is really embrassed anda little bit funny to find a local symbol and a foreign weapon caused that much misunderstanding. Kanata IS originally came from swords in Tang Dynasty, but after so many years it become a Japanese weapon TOTALLY, there's no doubt. Our author just gave the Kanata another look, don't be so sensitive.

Chinese refers to the Dragon Type, not that it's a Chinese Katana. I got the same type messages on Egyptian Cobra Katana again refers to the type of Corba not the Katana.

Guys if Chinese is an adjective which in this case it is it means it's a Chinese fversion of the Katana so maybe just look up if there were Katanas in China and if there weren't then hate on the author.
