Also, a DBZ mod sounds awesome, but I'm not very familiar with it, so I wouldn't be able to make anything good :P
You could also always just try uninstalling and reinstalling the mod to see if that works.
And I would love to change the bosses, but that will probably be the last thing I do in the mod (if I even ever do it) :)
This is some awesome feedback guys!
I'm gonna change the rupees in the next update!!
Thanks Fatal Framerate and fushimelon.
Seriously, these discussions really help me know what's good and what needs improving! :D
Hmm... maybe I should do that and see what it looks like.
I might just do that :)
Yeah, of all of the sprites I've done so far, the rupees are the ones I want to update the most!
It's unfortunate that they have to be on such a small scale when they're dropped by enemies.
Nice job Fushimelon!!
I'll have a look at the files you listed to see if they have some wierd property differences to try and stop it from happening again.
Once again, nice work on finding and fixing the problem! :D
EDIT: HERE'S THE FIX.
So I don't know why, but I guess some of these files weren't being recognized as "proper" pngs. I opened each rejected image from the logs in Photoshop and saved them over the exact same .png file, without making any changes. Not all files are affected—so far I've resaved the player1_heads, all 3 heart images, the rupee, and the armor_chainmail. There might be others, but this fixed it for me (I removed the items folder temporarily to see if the mod would load with just the changes I made, and it did).
Looks great! Thanks for the help and keep up the good work!!
Seeing as the only two things that change in this mod are sprites and the text displayed above some of the items, if I had to guess, I would say it's the latter that could be causing the trouble.
Maybe you could try deleting the mod's necrodancer.xml file
- To find this, navigate to Steam/SteamApps/common/Crypt of the Necrodancer/mods/Play as Link/
and a XML file called necrodancer should be there.
- If you delete that file, the mod should revert to using Crypt of the Necrodancer's original XML file, whilst keeping the changed sprites.
This is just a guess and could have absolutely nothing to do with the problem, but by all means, give it a go :)
Although, I was thinking ChuChus would be better suited for the slimes :)
But yeah, Dodongos would be perfect as the dragons!!
Changing the enemies would be pretty darn cool!
At the moment, I'm mainly concentrating on the items, but once they're done, I plan to change the NPCs and the enemies.
It could take a while, but hopefully I'll be able to do it at some point! :D
And I'm sorry, Saxdog8, but I'm by no means a programmer, so I would have no idea what is causing your game to crash. This mod only changes sprites and doesn't really alter the game in any big way, so I wouldn't know what reason there is for the game to crash.
and yes, you're right, it is disappointing that it doesn't save high scores and achievements.
It's because I've edited the file which (to put it simply) tells the game what to do.
When this file is edited, the game disables high scores and achievements as (even though I just changed the names of items) I could have made the mod game-breakingly easy, allowing the player to get achievement and the highest score in one button press.
...At least I think that's why :P

Amazing mod! Link seems to be a very popular character choice, but adding in the weapons and other objects is a really nice touch! I'll be using this one quite often when I'm just playing normal mode. It's a shame that it can't save the High Scores or Achievement Unlocks!
Don't let me stop you!!
Thanks for the praise though!
Well, anyway, you seem to have done it much better than i have, so i congratulate you on the awesome idea and sprite work :3
