Hooray! DX11 on my favorite window mod!
Tristavius  [author] 6 Nov, 2015 @ 7:13am
Terribly sorry for the extremely slow update - working with windows is extremely frustrating and it's taken me a long time to finally get my head round a few things. Both interior window packs are now updated to DX11. The 'missing' pieces have been added, though there will still be less pieces overall than normal windows due to no need for shade-inverted parts.

Any ETA on the DX11 update?

Also, to expand on the inverse face issue Tiger brought up, I haven't tried it myself because I'm waiting on the DX11 update, but what I think he's referring to is the frames' orientation. If you look at the frames on vanilla windows, they have a lip facing one direction or the other. For example, if you look at the 1x1 slope, if you build a simple dome with a flat window supported by 4 sloped windows, it looks fine when the tinted side is facing outwards, but if you build it so the tinted side is inside the dome, the slopes have a lip that sticks out.

Yes DX11 would be great. My hangar looks a bit... black... :)

gone do DX11? Like your mod :)
Tristavius  [author] 16 May, 2015 @ 8:39pm
Hi Tiger, while making the diamond glass small parts last week I came to the conclusion that the Side 1x2 pieces indeed cannot possibly go into every orientation with just one piece and added left/right variants. I'll be doing the same for here.

Surprised about the 1x2 inverse face slope though as I was able to make a single one of these fit any position I could think of.... I'll try again though and see if I can replicate.

You're also missing the 1x2 inverse face (slanted). While the 1x2 face can be used, the window frames can never line up.
Tiger 16 May, 2015 @ 4:21pm
Hi, great mod, but I found a problem. You're missing the mirror image of the 1x2 side (flat) panel. It incorrectly mirrors as the 1x2 face (slanted), and there's no way to fit the 1x2 side panel as a true mirror image of itself.

Updated to be Oxygen-proof :)

Yes there is a small window mod ... for small ships .. took me about an hour to find it
BlackRedDead 15 Mar, 2015 @ 9:50pm
maybe 3x3 interior windows for small ships would be nice ;-)

:)

I will consider adding small ship interior as well if enough people want it, but I can't see a usage personally - very few people are making small ships large enough to need an interior window. Still; I'll do it if people want :)

Waiting for some to make small ship glass ... any help

Tristavius  [author] 8 Mar, 2015 @ 7:14am
I'll see about adding a 2x2 :) I also have another glass project under way - stay tuned!
BlackRedDead 7 Mar, 2015 @ 10:28pm
yea, 2x2 shape i miss too, but if you made a clear one, maybe another with "default" dirt/glare/whatever would be nice :-)

just to mention, i found this mod is a vanilla enhancer and add it to my "enhanced" collection ;-)
Leonix 20 Jan, 2015 @ 5:01am
Why you didn't add 2x2 Flat? Can you add more shapes than the vanilla windows have?
BlackRedDead 19 Jan, 2015 @ 4:28am
*thumbs up* :-)
Tristavius  [author] 19 Jan, 2015 @ 3:03am
Anyone who started a world with this pack and wants to use the new one:

The parts are identically named/tagged so you can simply remove this mod and add the complete set - all currently places Interior Window parts will still be there. There is no need to use both packs.
Tristavius  [author] 19 Jan, 2015 @ 3:00am
I have now uploaded a second mod containing all the interior glass pieces, including the sides and faces. This way anyone that wants them all is happy, and those who want to keep their part count down to the more common interior shapes can continue to use this pack :)

See the collection for the new 'Complete' pack :)
Tristavius  [author] 17 Jan, 2015 @ 10:21am
Cool :) Will release as a second mod I think, keep everyone happy!
BlackRedDead 17 Jan, 2015 @ 10:16am
thats the nice thing on mods, you can chose wich you add and wich not, the only problem is that you have to split mods by yourself if there is something in you rly never will use - its yoor choice, you cant make all happy, and ofc 4-6 parts doesnt sound much, but all modders think that :D - adding a second mod isnt that difficult, but its your work! ;-)

there are much bigger mods wich take more effort to split!^^
maybe i should ask for permission to republish my "splits", but i dont like to add 2-4 more mods with the exact same content from someone else mod... i can do it by myself so no problem for me, im not that great modder, but republish - not my style! :D

finaly, as long we cant build triagonal inside theres no need for triagonal windows!, but that would be a nice idea for a second mod, half windowed shapes - im only a coder, not a modeler :-/
Tristavius  [author] 17 Jan, 2015 @ 10:03am
I know exactly what you mean; I hate having a ton of parts I won't use with a mod hence some of my re-packages with authors permissions. Shame that when adding a mod to a world you can't bring up a further option for part-by-part selections.

Without the need for mirrored parts and so on, the remaining shapes will only add 3-4 extra parts - not as much as I thought myself. Will that be alright or shall I split it into two parts do you think?
BlackRedDead 17 Jan, 2015 @ 9:59am
hmm... i personally think this glass is for interior only, no need for more shapes, so i dont want to spam my g-menu with more useless shapes^^ (i use around 200mods, i found out how i can scrap things i dont like but its much work and my game still overload!)
can you release the remaining shapes in a "cockpit" mod? ;-)
Tristavius  [author] 17 Jan, 2015 @ 9:55am
Thanks guys, glad I'm not the only one who wanted this :) Seems to be a few requests for the remaining shapes, so I'll try and add those over the next day or two :)

@BewareImSniper: Absolutely fine to use stuff for a battle-scene. Lore wise TVSI do sell ships on the open market, so re-coloured stuff is perfectly acceptable also :)
Mesmerizer 16 Jan, 2015 @ 6:57am
Angled please :)
KingdomBragg 16 Jan, 2015 @ 5:18am
Very nice, I definitely prefer this glass mod.

Seeing as your planned content is more windows, if it's not too cheeky, would you consider making some windows like these but without the frame for large and small ships. That way we could make better looking DIY cockpits.
BlackRedDead 16 Jan, 2015 @ 12:44am
another nice and usefull mod, youre getting better, i like this course :-)
✿ BewareImSniper ✿ 15 Jan, 2015 @ 4:22pm
Love your work! May I have permission on using your ships for a standstill battle-scene? If so, which ships would you recommend that would look nice?
Rhedd 15 Jan, 2015 @ 3:49am
Nice, thanks. I have a number of glass mods already, but I agree with everything you said about them so I suspect I'll find a lot of use for yours.
Tristavius  [author] 15 Jan, 2015 @ 2:22am
Personally I've never used the faces internally - I tend to find them more useful for building cockpits and the likes, but if they'd be helpful to people I'm happy to add them :)
Adjective Noun 14 Jan, 2015 @ 6:13pm
You need faces; otherwise the slopes are useless.
Tristavius  [author] 14 Jan, 2015 @ 8:45am
Not at this stage - I actually thought of that about 30 seconds after I'd hit Publish :P I think I will release a revision soon with a slightly reduced integrity/material count... nothing too big, maybe 75%.
