I think Religious percentage should make this go down and liberal membership should make it rise.

Why does education increase teenage pregnancy?
Nuc_Temeron 6 Jul, 2015 @ 9:27am
Cliffski's Sex Ed mod should interface with this mod.

Sorry for the double post but I just thought that this could directly cause other things. If, for example you alow child labor then teenage pregnancy could add to productivity but still decrease education and quality of life. Keeping in line with this train of thought with cause and effect could make this mod rather epic.

You could also add abstinence policy (Parents, Conservitives, Religious increase in happy, Religious and Conservitive membership increase, Liberal and youth unhappy and decrease in liberal membership). The effectiveness of abstinence could be increased or decreased by being proportional to religious membership. The slider would be how much focus is put on abstinence.

You could add a policy for sex education in schools. It lowers teen pregnancy rates, raises education and health.

Hey guys, thanks for the awesome feedback. I have been away for a while but seeing all these commments I'm planning on updating the mod very soon! Thanks!

Wouldn't it be fair to presume that education decreases the incidence of teenage pregnancy? Those who tend to stay at school also tend not to become teenage parents. I also agree that it would decrease popularity within religious and conservative groups, as well as increasing the parent group 3 quarters later.

Could you add policy of Ban on pre-merital sex?
RickCall12 12 Apr, 2015 @ 8:07am
Shouldn't it lower Conservative and Religious respect for allowing this practice?

I like this. This is something I want to control in the UK

I agree with Kettenelvis, it should increase parents membership.

Try adding birth protection options such as availabilty. Availabilty to different age groups e.g All ages, Adults only etc

Very nice feedback! Thanks a lot.

Interesting idea!

Some thoughts:
* Use a situation instead of a simulation value. If the start and stop thresholds are 0.0, the icon will disappear whenever the is lower than zero.
* There is a positive feedback loop between education and teenage pregnancy. Positive feedback loops make the game unstable, and should be avoided.
* There should be some delay from the causes; preferrably 3 quarters, since that is the duration of a pregnancy.
