Zbug, we love this mission. Is it possible to tell the same side AI's to join only one group? Since some players said they always team kill AI's

Clean up time needs to be adjusted. after the first round i drop to 6 fps, with dead bodies every where

Just wondering how I spawn vehicles in the game in this mod, or if there are any additional things I need to download in order to be able to. The AI will start spawning vehicles around halfway through a round and I have no way to spawn my own. Any help is appreciated. :steamhappy:

Saveable scenarios have a bunch of technical issues. The biggest one is updates, if you update from 1.4 to 1.5 without a restart, the scripts from 1.4 will keep running, and I'll get a bunch of bug reports about that. The next biggest one is performance, it's good to cleanup leftover objects and containers once in a while.

However you can modify your own version of the mission, removing line 2 of init.sqf will enable saving. You can either modify the pbo from steam or grab the sources here:

You have to edit the classnames.sqf file and put whatever classnames you want to see in the mission. Either modify the pbo or use the sources, link above ;)

Porting the mission to another map is done by copy pasting the Altis version into a new scenario on whichever island you want, then editing the markers that are used to place flags and camps in the ingame editor. The new 3D editor helps a lot with that.

How can I change the terrain the mission plays on? I remember the Flashpoint missions on ArmA 2 you simply changed the terrain name of the mission file. Is it as simple with this or more complicated? If it's more complicated, is there any chance you can make the mission for other terrains, because this is my favourite mission.

Absolutely AWESOME mission for a Single Player guy like me! I had some of the most intense Urban combat I've ever had in arma during this mission. HIGHLY recommend everyone tries a few rounds of Clashpoint!

@Luca Yes indeed, the mission was always meant to be adapted to various mods and maps. And it's not like I can do anything to stop you anyways :D
For the changes you want to do, you shall edit classnames.sqf in the mission root folder. If you need anything feel free to contact me on steam ;)

I just wanted to ask you if I am allowed to maybe convert your Mission to the OPTRE Mod. So changing vehicles, weapons and so on. I would change some more stuff, but of course I wouldn't remove you as the Author.

It depends on your gaming rig. AI soldiers cost a lot of CPU no matter what you do. If you use the multiplayer version of Clashpoint you can always reduce the number of AI squads on each side in the options, that will help a lot. When I play on a dedicated server which manages the AI, I get about 40-50 fps, but when I test the mission in local or when I play solo it's more like 25-30 in the busiest moments.

@wringglywriggler: the framerate issues you have can't be due to "optimization", because the amount of cpu load from the scripts is tiny. It's most likely because there's about a hundred AI soldiers fighting in a tight space. AI mods like ASR can make it even worse, especially with smoke grenades flying everywhere. Someone also had a conflict with JSRS a while back. Could be a lot of things, but basically a custom made CQC with 30 soldiers of each 3 factions will give the same results. If the mission itself had performance issues everyone would be complaining about it ;)

@=RRR= Cpt.Meow14: this is because I use UI time instead of simulation time for the match timers. Good catch, I'll get it corrected in 1.5 later on.

hey, i believe ive found a bug when playing single player. when either BLUFOR or OPFOR takes the point, if i pause the game, the timer still ticks down. this is problematic because sometimes, bathroom breaks are nessesary.

Also figured out earlier that at some point (can't tell when, the mission's been running for more than 30 hours) player will start spawning all over the map. There might be a bug at some point. Will bring more details next time that happens. Now stop reading my comments and get a break ;)

Actually mortars are okay but people abusing it ain't good. A way to limit ammo per round would be perfect. I also think using smoke rounds can be tactical and a good way to take advantage over the enemy team.

Ha yes, those damned folded mortars. We ban deployable weapons when I play with my friends, but of course that doesn't work for public servers. I'll try to see what can be done to limit backpacks selection without disabling all mods altogether. Or maybe an option to enforce a preselection of vanilla backpacks?

If the mission shows up as 1.3 in the scenarios menu, but you still get v1.2 in the intro, that means you need to cleanup your local save. For example mine is here:
