[Updated 2021] Wormhole Portal (Lightweight Stargate)

Using this is causing my static grids to become unstable and vibrate at 0.33m/s. I assume that just like the portal texture being misaligned, the collision mesh is also misaligned, but that's a guess.

the portal does not seem to line up with the gate anymore and leaves a small gap. anyone else experience this?

Is there any chance I might be allowed to upload a version of this mod removing the Naquadah resource and adjusting the ring to use vanilla components only?
I might be able to make it require this mod as well, by only including the block and voxel definitions.

Could you make a version that is at least 100 meters wide? I really want big space gates for ships to travel through

I've pushed an update which synchronizes it with the regular Stargate mod.
They will now share the same external script.
The new script will be pulled in automatically by the game. You do not need to subscribe to the Stargate mod.

When I use the gate to travel between planets the planet's move slightly causing everything on them to shake violently.

Please fix this. I REALLY dont want that biga** mod. It should be simple, really. Fix the graphical issue and the Exception throws for reference of a null object and lets try this again.

I also have crash described by previous posters. In addition, the animation of the vortex open correctly but once it get to the "static horizon", a black cube appear instead.

Wormhole mod is crashing the game on quitting even though its not loaded into the save played. (it was but after the first crash I removed it and the game still crashed)

Darn, when the vortex happens, it crashes. Was really hoping the server i was on would have a stargate mod on it, since going to a trade station would be easy if they had gates

There is some issue in the stargate code. I've tried 4 different mods, including this one and original stargate pack, and they all crash the dedicated server. Me and my friend used it a few hours ago and when we tried to use a quick dial on the dial pad it only showed the button list and no quick dial list.

Is this mod still live, or is it abandoned? I hope not - it is a cool, lightweight alternative to the Stargate mod, but it is developing problems as SE updates more and more :(

@Solraven The second one, wormholes are A2B only and you have to enter on the side you dial from.

"If you try to enter the wormhole the wrong way (through the destination portal), it WILL kill you! It will also destroy all ships entering the wrong way (subject to DS limits above)."

does this mean you die it you try to go in back to front, or that the wormhole is one A2B, and that to go back to A you have to shut it down and dile A from B.

... because i can`t update this one. Everything is the same, i only fixed the Portal-Adress like i did in the Stargate-Mod before. (Same code :) )

Just Installed this mod and it looks like it will be awesome but none of my gates are getting addresses... I have tried putting them next to each other and as far away as 20k. I place the gate them the DHD. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.... This is in creative singleplayer.

Maybe its a silly question, but does this mod make the old Stargate mod work too? As in "enables the huge ship gate"?
