I think the mod is broken, when i spawn in the wheels, they are floating in the air off the suspension block
Nikolas March 15 Jul, 2017 @ 8:40am
we all know how broken wheels are on voxels at the moment, i must test this :)
PEDROCHEM 24 Jun, 2017 @ 8:34am
the game does still have the old code unless this is broken too
PEDROCHEM 24 Jun, 2017 @ 8:34am
this mod is still needed
Flex Tape Man 12 Aug, 2016 @ 8:29am
This addon is 11/10:steamhappy:

Best part of this "obsolete" mod:
"Because the game now has my submitted code for suspension height. "
Eddy 5 Jul, 2015 @ 4:17pm
i like the "mars rover"

@chase kid, Keen accepted Digi's modifications into the the base code. Digi's mod is now part of vanilla!
Chase Gamer 3 Jun, 2015 @ 8:09am
@Digi, I used these big suspensions alot, what broke on them? I could really use these if it got updated.
Digi  [author] 30 May, 2015 @ 2:58am
I won't be updating this for DX11 because it's obsolete, this will also allow you guys too see easier which vehicles use the mod blocks so you can replace them with the vanilla ones.
Solraven 30 May, 2015 @ 1:10am
@Mr.Burx check out spacewheels mod. there wheels with spaceball built in so you can controll mass with a slider.
Digi  [author] 28 May, 2015 @ 11:45am
I've made my own mod obsolete by adding the height slider to the game xD
See the control panel for suspensions.
Worsley 17 May, 2015 @ 12:24pm
This mod makes life so much easier. Would you be able to make some metal type wheels or something like that? The vanilla rubber wheels look odd/unrealistic in space.

WROB3L 14 May, 2015 @ 6:43am
HEY! love your mod, but can you make a bigger wheels mod? like 6x6x2 or even 10x10x4?
Maelstrom 12 Apr, 2015 @ 12:40pm
could you make a special type of mass block which would be on top of the rims then? like a flat mass block with the same texture as the wheel so it would still look like a normal one. Is that possible?
Digi  [author] 12 Apr, 2015 @ 2:25am
@Sanic
I tried, it's not possible for the wheels to be artificial mass type.
Maelstrom 11 Apr, 2015 @ 3:00pm
can you make wheels with mass in it please :) would be very useful
RA2lover 6 Mar, 2015 @ 8:13am
Is it just me or do large ship 1x1 suspensions have a ridiculously short travel?

i've had them bottom out after ~1m only.
jura7 2 Mar, 2015 @ 1:59pm
Great mod.
Wheels are stronger and better now.
Digi  [author] 3 Feb, 2015 @ 10:27am
Try with damping at 100% :P

But sure, here's the mid-travel version: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=386441359
°Cypheir 2 Feb, 2015 @ 6:17pm
Yeah I've tried a lot of set ups, we're making a race track and Ive found with 3x3 wheels on a 19 ton racer:

damping 0
str between 5-15 (theyre dropped with a lil squish and seems weird but it works fairly well)
friction between 65-85%
power at 45-60%

This set up actually works very well, and your wheels are perfect for this, because they adjust the lower limit to keep my car from bottoming out--IF you make that adjusted version. =]
Digi  [author] 2 Feb, 2015 @ 4:27pm
I've just tested on a long and slightly bumpy 1.7km road with 5x5 tires on the truck in my 3rd screenshot... it runs really really smooth at a top speed of 68m/s, the bumps get absorbed so nicely... but I am using dampeners at 100% and strength at 10% though.

So tweak your settings and test some more and let me know if you really want that mod with half travel range.
Digi  [author] 2 Feb, 2015 @ 3:59pm
Yes I can adjust the max travel distance, I chose a really high travel distance to allow dampeners to work as much as possible because a sudden stop usually results in a bounce.

Anyway, I can make an edited version of this mod with max travel set to half.
°Cypheir 2 Feb, 2015 @ 3:09pm
Not even sure if you can do this, but it seems the massive amount of travel on this varient is raping higher speed stability... they start wobbling outta control and flying outta the socket... more so than the std one do, i suspect because of the higher amount of travel.
°Cypheir 2 Feb, 2015 @ 3:07pm
Sorry i guess i failed at english cause I was tired... right now your rotor seems to work like this:

Not Compressed |=_0

Fully Compressed |=¯0

where this is the rotor |= and the Dash zero indicates the axel position.

My suggestion was to make a half travel version that would do this:

Not Compressed |=_0

Fully Compressed |=-0

So if this makes any sense, the wheel with no spring compression would be at the lowest point, and at max compression would be at mid point, not at the highest point.
Digi  [author] 1 Feb, 2015 @ 5:23pm
Huh ? Max and lowest at the center is no travel at all.
°Cypheir 1 Feb, 2015 @ 2:46pm
Would be nice if you had a similar variant that traveled max height at the center, and lowest height at the center of rotor?
Sharpshooter740 28 Jan, 2015 @ 7:04pm
Thank you based Digi. I have no idea what KSWH was thinking when they placed the wheel dead center in the axle.
Skye snow 28 Jan, 2015 @ 12:30pm
hola estoy conectado si quieren jugar

Baron Samedi 26 Jan, 2015 @ 9:39pm
These are great. If I had a list of mods that match the asethetic of the game, are well balanced, and are fucking rad, I'd put this on the list.
Lumios 26 Jan, 2015 @ 10:43am
I mean they extend to far out. I've found mass blocks on wheels to be most effective way of making them stick to the ground. Scan you make a thin one which goes on the wheels? Would be a nice compliment for vehicles that don't have a huge block sticking out
kris220b 26 Jan, 2015 @ 12:06am
thank the greater good
shold make it easyer to make some rhino and predator tanks
Average Caucasian Shark 25 Jan, 2015 @ 9:16pm
they shud have made them like this in the first place... good job sir
Digi  [author] 25 Jan, 2015 @ 6:38pm
Updated, added 1x1 suspensions :}
herichimo 25 Jan, 2015 @ 8:07am
They'd work great for certain small utility vehicles.

Such as an aircraft towing mini-truck for a carrier.
Digi  [author] 25 Jan, 2015 @ 7:22am
@herichimo
But not for offroad =)
I could add them if you guys really want them, but they're so awkward to begin with and only serve as rail wheels xD
herichimo 25 Jan, 2015 @ 7:08am
Well, I think the 1x1 wheels might actually be useful with this mod.
Digi  [author] 24 Jan, 2015 @ 2:58pm
Please read previous posts why I didn't replace the vanilla ones.
If devs replace them they can avoid what I can not, which is breaking existing builds.
Shadow_Wolf 24 Jan, 2015 @ 11:56am
I agree with the others, these shuould replace the stock wheels, can someone suggest KSH? Maybe you could do that creator do the mod.
Digi  [author] 23 Jan, 2015 @ 7:21pm
@galacticon
What do you mean vanilla mass blocks are too big O.o ?
Casual Sun 23 Jan, 2015 @ 7:02pm
This will help a lot, thanks.
Lumios 23 Jan, 2015 @ 5:35pm
Can you make a mass block for the wheels? That vanilla one is too big
Digi  [author] 23 Jan, 2015 @ 2:22pm
Well I have the suggestion posted for quite a while and I bumped it when I made this mod too =)

Webmind 1 23 Jan, 2015 @ 2:20pm
Send Keen a ping, they used my suggestion for gyroscope override controls...
Digi  [author] 23 Jan, 2015 @ 2:13pm
@Webmind 1
Yes the devs should add this to the game as a slider to adjust the starting height or something.

I didn't want to replace the vanilla because it might kill some existing builds (expecially if the suspension is upside down xD) and it's quite easy to replace the wheels in survival.
Webmind 1 23 Jan, 2015 @ 2:10pm
Should replace the STOCK wheels, nice job!
Shepard (KeGGeR) 23 Jan, 2015 @ 1:52pm
@xterrylorakhx I agree. Now the rovers I build might actually be able to do stuff!
