Right now the fake id is removed when the police scan your ship, so a time limit to simulate that isn't necessary.

suggest to make this item only usable for a limited time
rationale: the authority will detect the fake id eventually, so can't reuse forever.

I think the first idea could probably be done but I don't know if the one to add a second weapon is possible. Also, if you want to share mod ideas there's the workshop discussion board here on steam and also the scripts and modding board on egosoft's forum.

so just a wonder because the amount of mods on the workshop is small i have some ideas for mods but im not very good at coding one day i want to learn but besides the fact id love to have a mod where you can hire a fleet to attack a faction or station for say if you want to control one specific market and second a second gun on the skunk mod so you can fire two weapons instead of one at the same time im tried of gettting a cap ship needs to go mission and it takes me 45 min to destroy it even with the mk3 weapon idk if there is a forum for mod ideas lol

I guess i found a not intended feature or a bug.. your decission:

If you manage to craft a Fake ID you will get a quiet long list at any Black Marketeer, now you can choose the highest offer and sell it... while still in the Menu you can choose a very cheaper offer and reBuy the ID and move along with step one.. sell it expensive, buy it cheap and so on.

Regards and this mod is quiet sweet anyway.

Kudos on an excellent mod. It isn't overpowering or game breaking. It actually fits the atmosphere and style of the game quite well. I like that is's not just a cheatmode to ignore factions, but has actual drawbacks when used... that you can't raise faction standing while working under a false ID, and that your benefits from positive standings are negated as well.

One quick question.. with that Fake ID, am i allowed to dock at hostile Stations?

Something like:

"Oh, this ship truly looks like the Albion Skunk... but it does not has its ID... and this guy.. i'm sure it is Otani but his ID does not match... must be a lookalike... or something similar... he may dock (hopefully he won't steal any stuff from lockers or bins or air vents or...)"

Guess you got it.

Ok, I made it so you can fight pirates and such without losing the ID but for some reason workshop isn't updating properly.

But otherwise, they're persistent? So if I were a peaceful trader type person who's engaged in some questionable activity is perfectly reasonable but is illegal only because PMC and the Argon Government are uncompassionate, inhuman fascists, The illegal IDs will be active forever?
