这个mod的工作原理类似于Better Harvesting Behavior,只是它允许通过新的界面按钮在每个田地/果园的粒度上进行。如果你不熟悉“更好的收割”,它基本上会改变收割行为,农民在完成收割之前不会收集作物。相反,工人们会像收集其他建筑一样收集收获。

Just getting back at this game after a year or so and updating/upgrading my modlist and want to let you know ty for this great mod
infact its so awesome that i forgot that this is a mod and thought it was a basegame feature :D

When pick up is turned off, farmers will not pick anything up at all, even after they have finished gathering, they will just leave the baskets of food sat there. I have a large map, my worder are not able to gather everything, even with 56 of them all over the map. I expected the farmers to pick up AFTER they had finished with their field.
Also, the fermers did not replant seeds in the field the following year. So over 2 years the production of food was near zero... Is this a bug?

@Sneaky: Highly doubtful. Almost no Banished mod is save game compatible and every one I've used that claims to be still crashes it after a few minutes.

I use dense orchards, so that'd be the problem. I'd love to see it incorporated in CC, this is such a lifesaver (literally) come autumn. :)

It should work for orchards, but it won't work for CC's dense orchards. However, I turned over the source for this mod to the CC devs, so I imagine it'll be part of that mod sooner or later.

Works fine for me, no crashes of any kind. Only glitch is that the pick up icon for the orchards is missing. There's a space for it on the right side, but it's blank. Fields work as intended.

Consistently crashes my game, have to fully restart the computer each time. Unsubscribing. Cool idea, though.

when i have thsi mod enabled i crash when going to the JOB menu option on the toolbar, so i stopped doing that and then still it jsut crashed on me. I like this mod but the crashing is starting to bum me out

Allow me, OP...

The tooltip reads: "when enabled, farmers will pick up crops from the farms as soon as they're harvested. If disabled, labourers will perform that task instead."

...not exactly "literally quoted", but whatever. That's the way it works.

I forget. Whatever it starts out as when you first install the mod = indicates that it's working the way it normally does. Click it to have laborers do it instead.

So how do you make the famers not pick up the crops? Does the Pickup button need to be white or greyed out?

Everyone, this mod is (stability-wise) superiour to the one that inspired it, from what I can tell. So don't bother looking for that other one. This one's better, for stability.

@captain seascik pretty sure its not on the workshop and on the other mod sites. It's been out for a while but has a few problems of its own. (Because it does a bit more than just make them harvest without storing)

So I found out, I have a request, one that I believe would really help with playing a mountain map.. and that is a quarry that is 1/3 the size and uses no more then 6 ppl. It could cost more then 1/3 the resources to build and only produce 1/3 the quanity of stone. You get so spread out that bringing stone from a normal quarry and iron too that you consume more then your making becuause of travel time. Thanks for Your hard work, these are top notch in my book.

I looked into it just now....I forgot I did that! They conflict because Mountian Fields have the pickup mod built into it for itself, so they share the same files. You can use them both, it's a harmless conflict.

@acoustic-motors - you can do what you'd like. This mod's functionality was already built into the game, just not enabled.

I collaborate with CC, and I wouldn't expect this mod to conflict with it. It would only conflict if CC changed the interface for crop fields, which it doesn't. I wonder if they accidentally left the vanilla code in...in any case, load this mod above CC. It shouldn't be a problem.

oh, ok cool. I might be doing something wrong. When I go to load the mod it and CC turn red and it says it conflicts with the other so I never really tried it out.

This looks like a great mod idea, I've had fields almost completely wiped out due to farmers deciding part way through a harvest they want to pick up stone. I'm not a programmer but would it be possible to make this work with the Colonial Charter's mod?
