The repair drone still work as of my last play through (just yesterday) and it is hard to find them to buy. the only ones i have not yet found are the beholder, and the trojan.

@ cheetahhawk= I use both my drones and build mkx drones not made many of his but they work together.

@Megatherium these drones only repair bodys that have been started to rebuild. Can help repair a ships weapons but dose not have a rebuild item. Never found the string for that. "Just started playing again will be looking for it again later I am sure."

@Valhalla Awaits Would love to get a copy of your work to modify this somemore. Run 2 versions as I play with the incress hulls from strongerships ++ I think is the mod name. Will look again. That is the reason behind my high power versions but I also try to make it so they were not cheap to get in the 1st place.

To all Thanks, I am back did play 3xtc again wanted to enjoy the game and while I do enjoy the slow pace of 3xtc/ab I liked the build better in Xrebirth. lol now that we have many mods to fix again issues. So I am back I will look at trying to make a less powerful version as Valhalla has or get him to post it.

Sorry I not played much after major crash and I lost the files I had for this mod and my notes I had in them. They where just using base files but the repair levels where for another mod that had made ships that much harder to kill. I do not recall that mods name and when I did load up this last time these are Very much over powered. If you want to mod it and change it please do. I enjoy this mod. I had try to make it something you build but never find a way to get the to the drone bay. So I had to make them buyable. Sorry for not keeping it up to date. Hope the next one is better. I had enjoy X3 2.2 when I got it. and enjoyed the mods that where made for it.

h@Noviath I am very late and you probably already found the solution, but in case you didn't. The fix is to add the <effects> lines from the MK1 to the others under the <damage/> line in the .dat file. HOWEVER there are some random "bugs" if you change anything so do so at your own risk.

Hi there great mod thanks :D (It seems to be working with 4.10)
So i've got myself a mk4 drone but there seems to be a visual bug, lasers does the intended repairs but there is no impact visuals. Like i'm shooting in empty space.

I modified the files to clean things up, changed the giant blue laser beams with massive splash effects into a small, fine, red welding laser with spark hit effects. I cut out all the extra drones and boiled it down to a single repair drone with substantially less repair power. (1700 down to 50) And lowered the price to around 450k, down from 2-10 million. I also removed the shield restore of the repair beams and made them just repair the hull itself. (Since yours required the shields to be at 100% before it could start to repair hull/modules.)

I will have to admit, I dug incredibly deep into the files, and I too was absolutely confounded as to how to change the drone deploy ring-name to anything else than default. No other mod has succeeded in doing so that I could find, so it seems it may be hardcoded.

Yes it is brokenly unbalanced now. I have not had time to come back and try to recode it. But I had built it when playing with ships alot stronger. I do not recall what mod was called now. The halls of all ships where like 5 times stronger then normal so higher repair so as not to be spending hours repairing. I have planed to code it back down to half of what it is now if not more like 400 for the mk1 then the high end around 1000.

But I had also hope to fix the T screen name issue. Which is still beond my understanding.

I am also hoping to figure out how to code it so you could buy repair drones for the big ships and have it repair itself and ships around it. So you could have your small ships also get repaired when no combat is going on.

At some point I hope to at least recode the damage down to non cheat levels. My goal is sometime this month.

For those interested, the mk1 drone repairs at around 3000 damage a second, and the mk4 repairs around 8000-9000 damage a second, just so you know why this is so brokenly unbalanced.

Barely functional with 4.0, but regardless this is incredibly overpowered and game breaking balance wise, it can repair a capital ship to full hull faster than 4 other capital ships can damage it, granting godmode basically.

Piss-poor balance.

oh LOL i didnt realise that was a mod thought i only had the mod that allows u to build one. well then i think that would explain why it only worked a few times must be only on the original titurel i was able to scan.

I know of 3 mod version of Titurel. I do not remember the name but the mod I am thinking of had 3 to 4 version. Sental Titurel, Mining Titurel. That mod did not have scan point for the new macros for the ships.

peho72. I have looked for something like that. I sure it just a command that I am missing but have not had time to look into it due to my job and life.

Draconix26. You got a mod for some of the new ships. I am still not sure where it is as I have been trying back when I played to figure that one out. Ships that Ego-soft put into the game only seem to always work. Any modify version of the ships do not always work. Something dealing with scan points.

Does anyone know the key to using the beholder for scanning ship prior to boarding. sometimes it lets me scan before boarding and most times it just launches the marines. I tried google it but all the post are real old and nothing on this

Is there possible to unwreck components (basically similar what Engineer does), but would make faster to repair e.g. captured / damaged capital ship? Now I do save file, find captured ship, delete text 'state="wrecked" ' on components (or search / replace that take makes it faster in temp file and dump the ship back to save file).
So I'd like to have "rebuild components" option. Lets say 30 sec beam to wrecked component would unwreck it or something like that.
So this comment is more like tip for additional option to repair laser / drone.

I agree with Biovirus though maybe values could be higher than you suggested :D
Anyway i tried to lower the damage value myself (and i'm a rookie), it worked but got those text not found issue. I just changed some values didn't even touched anything else, why the names gone, i don't understand. By the way thanks for the mod good job :D

I think repairdrones are too op, so you may consider changing for example mk1 damage value from 1550 to 0050, so it takes around 1 min to repair skunk, and you still have to watch for enemies, and XL ships take a while so ppl may still consider using the shipyards. then go up to 0100 for mk4.

The Beholder MK4. Had time to find one myself. The t file code was wrong has been fixed. Should have no problems with it now. If not the beholder let me know I will check the other when I have time to play again.

Found that if I hit the info button for a MK 4 (Not Illegal Version) the game became stuck. Everything still was moving and the game running but I could not exit the trader screen with the Drone Merchant (done via remote call).

Is it missing description text for the item and the game is stuck because it in a loop trying to locate it?

Started out as repairlaser. Just instead of being on the player ship I had to put them on a drone. Have hope to add a ai scrip to the mix so I could put repair drones on the L and XL to repair other ships.

Will look in to it. I have seen the MK4 in my game. Since I had added the MK3 and MK4 after starting the current game. I know the new start was removed. MK4 has like a 10% of showing up.

in german game version you can't see the name of the drones and there is no description just "textnotfound". english text would be enough I think....
