I feel that because the paint doesn't wear off, it detracts from the finish at greater wear values. maybe make the alpha dark grey (not black) in the areas that wear automatically if that's the issue. Other than that, i like the finish, though i might advise fiddling a bit with the phong exponent and phong intensity values.
