Wait... these things are rare?

Alright, that's what I thought. just wanted to make sure, I'll look into it soon.

No just do some thing in the code like shipwrecked_compatible = true or something then you can use SW linked RoG worlds with this mod
Vash  [author] 7 Dec, 2016 @ 3:32pm
Do you know if there are any differences with Shipwrecked's tumbleweeds? Didn't see anything on the wiki.
Joujjer 6 Dec, 2016 @ 1:44pm
Can you make this Shipwrecked compatible? I have an RoG world linked with Shipwrecked and only Shipwrecked compatible mods can be used

If you could post the log (by default in the >mydocuments>klei>Do_Not_starve>log.txt) of the crash that would help a lot in determining the cause of the crash.
I really need the log to find out whats wrong. As far as compatability with other mods goes, I'm not entirely sure I can fix it. I'll look into it if I get logs.

i'm crashing in the mod screen too, when i'm scrolling down the mod list things are fine until it tries to load the page with this mod on it. All the other mods installed work, this is definitely the one that's doing it. Which is sad, i'm with spartonio that it would be a great mod.
Spartonio 28 Nov, 2015 @ 5:26am
I installed this mod with loads of other mods and my game crashed, i experimented which mod was making my mod menu crash when i scrolled down on it, and it turned out to be this mod. unfortunately i cannot use this useful mod and hope this problem applies to me as it would have been a useful mod for me.

Looking into it, you're crashing when loading into the world right? Not at the mods screen.

i unsubcribed from every single mod and resubscribed 1 at a time opening DS each time and this was the mod that caused the game to crash whenever i opened mods. I have the same problem with the Speed me up mod if that helps at all.
Vash  [author] 6 May, 2015 @ 10:37pm
Are you sure? The log is created no matter what, it is not in game you have to look in your documents folder on your computer.
Watermelon Chip 6 May, 2015 @ 5:50pm
Thing is it doesn't have a log /: it just crashes the game.
Vash  [author] 6 May, 2015 @ 3:42pm
Are you sure? I just checked mine and it seems to be working.
Check your other mods, and if the problem continues post the log(documents/klei/log.txt) please

Crashes game on mod screen when scrolling through mods.

I see, so you think the game sorta "compresses" or "stretches" the chances of everything proportionately to reach 100%. Makes sense, especially if you say default chances don't reach 100% to begin with.
Vash  [author] 4 Mar, 2015 @ 10:13am
In the base game the total chance combined is something around 97% which doesn't cause conflicts(as far as I know atleast). I assume that the same goes for going over.

As for what happens, I think (speculation): that it reduces everything so that it ends up fitting into 100.

As an example, lets say grass is 60% and purple gem is 50%, the total would be 110% but it reduces grass to 54.54%(60/110) and purple gem to 45.45%(50/110) so that it ends up working out.
But once again, this is entirely speculation, there are many things it could do.

If I hear of problems I'll look at it, its just that its very hard to test since there isn't a way to spawn tumbleweeds, only tumbleweed spawners so it makes it annoying to test added on to the fact that there is already RNG involved, making testing even more annoying.

The number of items spawned by a tumbleweed is determined in another place.
Ran 3 Mar, 2015 @ 10:42pm
Given you can choose the percentages for each item individually, doesn't it mean the total chance combined can go under or over 100%? What happens then? Could you, say, get more than 3 items per tumbleweed, or less?

out of date just means the api_version value in modinfo is not the same as the game version. Should be 5 or 6 or something.
Vash  [author] 1 Feb, 2015 @ 10:48pm
How is it out of date? It should be working.
Aresyl 1 Feb, 2015 @ 7:41pm
out of date though
Aresyl 1 Feb, 2015 @ 7:33pm
I appreciate how you decided not to make it so OP though :D

should've upped beard hair to 1% :D

Thanks for the much clearer description. Have an upvote

ok.
Vash  [author] 31 Jan, 2015 @ 4:13pm
Technically speaking, you can by going into the tumbleweeds.lua and scrolling down to the section about their drop rates.

If you want a more elegant way (like a menu in game), thats a bit beyond me. If there is enough interest I might look into it.
Rippertear 31 Jan, 2015 @ 4:02pm
can you make it so you can ajust all drop chances?
Vash  [author] 31 Jan, 2015 @ 3:56pm
If you notice (or know) if this messes with other drop rates then let me know, I'll update to put the other things back in line.
Vash  [author] 31 Jan, 2015 @ 3:44pm
There you go, also had to update because accidentally put fireflies in the drop table.
