Another good mission setup. Maybe a little too much to walk. You have to know that I'm a little older veteran and therefore not so good on foot. Many thanks!

Nice mission! The mission goals didn't always trigger as we would've expected (there may have been a unit hidden away somewhere), but we had an enjoyable couple of hours playing this.

The mission is working fine. I have after update ARMA not opened the save game. Not a compatible version. I outplayed.

@Russ, I just tested the mission and it works fine. Maybe its an addon? I believe the mission is vanilla. Try turning off all adons. No need to turn of CBA.

No worries. It is a really fun scenario. I just wanted to try it from a different approach/tactic. One more question. Why is it that my AI unttis can drive/use vehicles/static weapons but I cannot? Looking forward to your next game! :)

As part of the mission design, I wanted the FIA to start with lower grade weappons and if the player chooses, he can use the weopons he captured along the way. Adding in suppressors would change what I was trying to achieve in the design.

@jsempri: Is there a way to add suppressors to the weapons? I now want to retry the mission going completely stealth and set up 3 spot ambushes to confuse the hell out of the AI enemy. :)

I can play if I restart the entire mission but my saves are gone. All that time and "hard work" wasted. :( Oh well. Im having fun from the beginning trying different tactics.

The new weapons mod auto-update is preventing me from playing. It now says incompatible version when I try to launcg this scenatrio. Anyone else have this issue?

@jsempri: Thank you for your response. Yes you are correct... it is an issue with Arma3. :(
Option #1 is a good idea but I think the "get tactical" addon is the way to go. There are many cool addons that I do not have because I am afraid it will break Arma in some way so I have zero installed. But if you say it works fine then I will go for it. I'll install the weapon rest one while I'm at it. :)
One last thing, the second checkpoint never gets marked as completed. I cleared the base and the area goes green but the task will not check off. 3 and 4 cleared fine. I went back and engaged/killed some enemy that were patrolling the valley below 2 but it will not complete.
Thank you for such a great scenario. Last night I had to ambush the convoy and that was really cool and tough!

2. Ok the other soultion is get the addon called "Get Tactical". It's works great and you are able to get your team leader to hold fire. There is also a ton of really neat features too.

Lancer, this is a game design issue within the ARMA game and not the scenario itself. That being said, I do solution for you... Actully two solutions.

1. Your main player ( team leader) unfourtuinatly will not order himself to hold fire, since this is a command only he can give. What I normally do is block his view from the enemy or where you think the enemy will be in position. Maybe behind a rock or wall. Even if the enemy is viasable by the other players, your team leader will not fire since his view is blocked. Then when you are ready for the ambush, switch back to your player and order yout team to fire. Also, if you have everyone in stealth, then the by default the team leader will be in the prone position while you're controllying the other AI player, so don't forget to change the status to danger. This way if you want to switch to another team memeber in mid attack, yout team leader will not go automaticly to prone.

Is there a way to force MY player to hold fire?
I really like being able to control my AI team and rearm them the way I want in the start of the mission. My only issue, and it is a BIG one, is when I am positioning my team for an ambush. I will order my team into position from the map view. They are all in Stealth/Hold fire mode. When I switch over to an AI player to make precise adjustments to his position, (to get him behind hard cover) MY player opens fire which then ruins the ambush. Grrr!!! This is still a great mission though and I would give it a 10/10 if I could force MY player to hold fire. Thanks.

Revo, I'm glad you enjoyed the mission. You should be able to rearm the ai easly. I have them all set to playable, so just hit "u" in keyboard and select one of them. Then us can rearm him normally. Also, you can stand behind him and select "open bag" and add ammo. Their should also be enogh dead guys for you to collect weapons and ammo from :)

Great mission, wasn't able to finish it though. The Ai runs out of ammo to fast, and there is no proper way to rearm then (Arma 3 issue) Gonna play it with some friends in coop sometime.
