Just wondering is this mod dead or is a fix actually in the works for it. As all tank cannons are currently broken and tanks kinda need a tank cannon... If not could someone please work on a fix for this gun (or an alternative cannon like this) and i would be extremely grateful. Thanks

A user on one of the SE workshop pages has figured out a solution to the issue everyone is having with stationary weapons so i will paste it here and hopefully you can figure out a solution from there:

"Figured out a quick fix for the weapons, basically SE atm expects every small gatling type weapon to have a barrel model with apropriate empties, to fix mine i just made a tiny cube as a barrel that is basically invisible and set up the projectile muzzle empties on that."

i don't know why but more recently the mod asn't worked, the cannon just doesn't apear at all, i can't place it on vehicles and when i place on in the air (to copy/paste it on the vehicle) it doesn't even spawn or register

Yeah, no Heat ammo listed in Assembler.

But the dmg the AP does you don't need Heat.

What sucks is that this is used in sooo many blueprints for small ships and rovers... No dx11 means it looks like crud for those of use forced to use dx11 by windows 10. I guess its a dead mod...

Lol the abrams obsolete...... not really. You should look at Russian T-90's with all the retrofits it takes just to keep those somewhat battle worthy.

And dont forget the M1A3 is going to be out soon. If its not already.

@voidmaster, You must be from the UK I hate to break it to you but the L30A1 has LIMITED ammo, is not eco-friendly, has less pen then M256 cannons, Can't fire NATO standard Armor Penatrating Fin Stableized Discarding Sabot (APFSDS-T), and can't fire Canister shot.

once muzzle velocity is created... in space. it wont decrease. sooo... you shoot this thing it wont stop untill it hits something.

and what are you saying that the M1A2 being obsolete? even though its SEP out performs the Leo2A7? and youre saying the leo2A7 that already has a smoothbore L/55 will use a rifled cannon instead? doing that will decrease muzzle velocity of the sabot. itll increase accuracy at a distance. but itll be a slower projectile.
the vehicle that is designed to fight infantry is the IFV. not a MBT. MBTs are currently support units in an age of no real war. only conflicts.
if you want to call something obsolete. call the T-90 obsolete.

you know the M1 abrams is is obselete right. and the germans are going back to rifling because of the massive error in design of the ammo its overcomplicated for what it does yes it has better accuracy but tanks dont fight tanks to often anyways the new moddels must do over 50kph and thier main purpose is to fight infantry.

@voidmaster The M1 Abrams uses a 120mm smooth bore cannon to fire APFSDS rounds. It stands for Armor-Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding Sabot. It doesn't use rifling because the ammo is self stabilizing. Sort of how a smooth bore shotgun can fire foster slugs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rheinmetall_120_mm_gun link to the gun :)

the whole thing doesnt make sense to me i know a lot about guns but a smoothbore firing sabot ammo........ nope not going to happen it doesnt look like heat or apcr either. strange mod.

Conveyor ports work on own ONLY when all three ports are connected...when just one or two this is a no.

When firing they consume 2-3 counts of ammo per shot.

Recoil is insane when used on a flying ship...to maintain stable they must be very close to center of balance of the ship that is it's self VERY heavy with extra thrusters for just counter balance.

Shot speed when used past 1k is too slow to fire at anything moving...but shell continues to fly past 10k. But is faster then Sniper slow ammo.

hey there, I have a problem with autoreload in survival. manually I can reload by click and drop - so conveyer system is working.

btw. its also using like10 ammonition per shot, is this right?

This is excellent! My only critisism is the fact that A. its not for Large Ships :-( B. Only APFSDS rounds, some HEI-T rounds would go great! Also, the APFSDS round should probably be renamed to APFSDS-T considering the round has a very obvious tracer ;-)

@lordapples2 thats likely because it is a AP round, its a Armor-Piercing, Fin-Stabilized, Discarding-Sabot round, hence the acronym APFSDS
