I was hoping to use this to mark a path, but it seems like the recipe just isn't showing up in the light tab. Not sure how to go about fixing it.

I was using these path lights and the game i guess still thought i was in the dark when i was literally standing next to 2 lit path lights from this mod. So, the darkness one shotted me and the whole game was over. I don't really see the point in lights if they don't protect you from dark.

Can you ad an option to use lightbulbs instead of fireflys. Since fireflys are non renewable without a mod and the option to choose the range of the light would be good too.

i have a mod similar in dont starve together that works beautifully, i thought this was the same one tbh. this one didnt seem to work for me, the area lit was very small regardless of the light color and i still got attacked at night while standing in it

Can you add an option to control the wideness of the light? The wideness of the light is a little small for me, plz.

So I just changed the color to white and it seems to work now! That's interesting that different colored lights are weaker. Thank you!

varatheela When the RGB color space is strong, some colors don't emit much light in DS. I could increase the radius of the light, or add option to.

Hey, I'm not sure if I'm doing this wrong/ if this has already been answered somewhere, but for some reason I'm still attacked by Charlie even when I'm in the light provided by these. Has this happened to anyone else before, and is there a possible fix? Thanks!

Probably a good idea simply for balance reasons, I like the idea but every light source in DST has a cost, and I don't want random exceptions. Thanks!

StaariZAI don't know why you are having such a hard time placing things,maybe a conflict with another mod. There is one mod that causes this trouble with a lot of mods it's call "Geometric Placement" I do believe.

Nice mod but they take up to much place. I wanted to have a path with trees, and lights between them, but nope, this lights need waaaay to much space around it. Guess I just stick to fireflies then.

An idea for an alternative recipe came to mind: Lantern x1, Marble x1, Electrical Doodad x1

Gives the justification for attaching an existing lantern to a solid base with some kind of electrical power supply to give it the unlimited light. It also keeps with the games general theme of only having 3 different items, maximum, per recipe.

Also would make it so it's not as readily available, yet made entirely of renewable resources.

I also think the recipe should be harder. Include glowberries, or lightbulbs or something instead of fireflies, which are pretty readily availble. Maybe gold, too.

I would back using gems to select color -- first, because it'd be incredible to be able to make different colored lights in the same game, and second, because I feel like the recipe is too cheap for how useful they are. I haven't installed this just because of that -- I'd want them to require gold and some kind of semi-rare stuff or items from caves that are harder to get, if not exactly rare, esp since they don't need refueling as far as I can tell.

Since it won't let me edit my last comment. Maybe the author could add a gem component to make it so there is an option to choose which color to craft from within the game (a little further suggestion from what @SignOfTheWolf suggested.

@David and Crying with Fear, no they are not always on, they still only work with Night/dusk cycles. I am personally trying to mod my files to "fix" this for caves. Also when you smash these I'd expect to get atleast the fireflyes back but you don't probably might want to add a "lootdrop" somewhere in the code with a loot table of what you want users to get back.
