Try this mod out with a mod called "Covenant of Souls". It's an extremely detailed and literally game-changing mod which makes Don't Starve an RPG. That mod also goes well with a mod called "Super Hound Waves" by KingofTown. These are extremely fun mods to play around with.

@Jake or you can just bring in a massive herd of in heat beefalo, they tend to clean up hard mode arenas. At least the pig guardian ones.

For hardmode just bring a ton of merms or pigs and attack the source of the monester if its bees or spiders

hope this helps for those of you who can't beat these arenas ;D im sorry for those of you who already new this and author Great mod. I would never have come up with this.

Anyone using console can boss any of these. for those of u who dont know the code in console to make yourself invincible its: c_godmode ()
to make everything craftable: GetPlayer().components.builder:GiveAllRecipes()
the give code can be used to give oneself decent weapons: c_give("hambat" , 5) PS: the number can be changed. the word hambat can also be replaced with batbat or any other code for example
"mandrake" eating a mandrake puts everything around you to sleep. They can also be used to caft a pan flute in later game which allows for ten uses (putting an enemy to sleep 10 times). Effectively console can allow anything. i prefer to give my opposition a chance to make things more fun. For example in this "arena" i use a code to set my health to 500 then go in with decent equipment i crafted myself. For further information go to: http://dont-starve-game.wikia.com/

Hard mode is for hackers, much like myself.

Oh man, hard mode might aswell be "Bring a giant herd of beefalo in" mode, because that is what I recently did while playing with this mod, I had a large herd of beefalo near a hard more guardian pig arena, so I lured some of the beefalo to the pigs and the pigs attacked the beefalo, suddenly the entire herd just rushes in and suddenly theres this guardian pig vs beefalo war... It was chaotic, got 48 meat out of it.

@Rydi Yeah. I've made a mistake. The Clockwork Arena is the same difficulty as the Pigtorch Arena I think. I've fixed it on Don't Starve Together (I think) and I'll fix this one soon. Thanks for noticing it.

There is a problem when you adjust the difficulty Clockwork Arena on easy or normal all the time loaded complex mode when creating a new world.

@mitchellhamilton If I did this for the knights and bishops I'd be just changing their places or their quantities. That wouldn't be very interesting. I also already have a hound arena in the mod, it's just not operating yet.

true, but you can just do knights and bishops without the rooks and I have another idea but with hounds/firehounds/ice hounds for R.O.G in the tumbleweed biome (I can't remember its name though)

@mitchellhamilton I thought about that but the rooks are a messy kind of enemy. They can easily kill their allies and destroy the arena walls if you walk close enough. This would make the arenas much easier.

here's an idea, it would be cool if you did a random number generator for the clockwork one so you would have a different experience each time. Eg. 1 rook, 2 bishops and 1 knight

@mitchellhamilton The contents of the chests are random. The chance of a belt of hunger to spawn on hard mode is the same as the chance on easy mode (for now). I guess you got lucky.

Hard mode killer bee arena + Unbaised killer bee hives with killer bees attacking eachother enabled... Watch one heck of a killer bee war go.

On the hard mode part it says no special rewards but when I did the hard mode spider arena I got a belt of hunger and only found it in some of the hard mode ones
