Okay, thing I've solved it. Seems to be the same as the random map issue - the game doesn't like files with periods in the filename before the file extension. So I changed '5.1b.ai' to '51b.ai' on both files and it's loading fine.

Having the same issue as Senor Paco below. I've been able to use BruteForce AI from the Workshop fine, so not sure what's going on here I'm afraid.

I'm having trouble using this and others AI , when i open the in-game workshop this AI , the Reasonance AI , LogBots and Barberian is all red and I can't use it . How can i fix this ?

AI is great, however it does cheat like mentioned above. I tested it playing on hard, walled off all its gold and while not having a market it kept on producing gold units.
It does also suicide when doing a tower rush: build 2 towers out of sight and produce some archers, then start building third tower in sight. The AI wills send all its villagers to "bomb destroy) this third tower you are building while your 2 towers and archers will kill off the villagers till it resigns. Try it :-)

The AI will work, also all other work shop items for that matter, when you revert back to 3.9. Look for topic in Support discussion. Basically Go to <Games> / Right click AOE / Select <properties> / Go to tab <Betas> / In first drop down menu select < archive3.9 - patch 3.9> / let this install / restart and go to the work shop and re-install all your work shop items.

Guys. It seems the AI doesn't work after the 4.0 update that came out recently. I don't think complaining over it here will help too much.

I could not get this to work. I have tried everything I can think of. The AI doesn't show up to be chosen at all. Some help would be much appreciated.

I was trying to play on multiplayer, small map with only 1 AI and it kept having out of sync issues.

Does anybody know if and how I can make any AI default? It's so annoying to choose 7 AI's by hand again and again. I don't want to play against the build-in AI anymore. Great work, Res!

1v1 Vikings on island map, on hard - AI did not build transports even while a good 7 minutes ahead of me in castle. Resulted in me losing the water until I was able to rebuild. Would have appreciated being punished further for never pressing the button and instead pumping out another 18 villagers. AI didn't even have a barracks even in the late imperial age when I was starting to build bombards. I did have to manually install this mod because the workshop isn't working for me for some reason.

Okay, I found out something. This AI is useless as an ally if you ask for help. I used the "I am being rushed" command multiple times when I was being rushed by 2 enemies, but no. My "Ally" (more like traitor) decided to stay in his base will all his military unit while I was doing all I could to survive. Piece of crap

Nice job! I prefer the AI Resonnance rather than BruteForce because I find it more intelligent. She built many defenses and built a camp in front of our base to attack easily. Unlike bruteforce, the fights are more tactical. Resonnance not attack with a scourge continues unit but per period. Henceforth, the parties do not reduce to produce in large quantities and units to swing on the enemy. Here we must move forward, gain ground, set up a forward base, destroy defenses, pay attention to his troops. The AI adapts and produces the correct units. In short, you have to play intelligently!
The only small problem: I had a lot of synchronization error

That being said, I say again congratulations for this AI!

I just tried a multiplayer game with a friend and 6 AI's. After about 35 min's the game started lagging and we got a out of sync error. We restored the game a few times and the time till the next error started becomming less and less.
Would it help if I put fewer of these bots into the game?
Other that that, nice job on the AI. :AOEKnight:

I want to say, great job on the AI. It's a lot of fun. There are a few small issues, like I see that when the AI try to send many villagers on wood, they pile up and get stuck. Besides that, great AI.

I also look forward to when they get a name change. I kinda want different names.

Walling for AI's can be suicidal and infact, make it easier to kill, that's why most AI's don't wall up.

Hello, I have found that once I am able to attack the Resonance AI, it's pretty easy to do damage to them because they don't have walls. Sure they make towers and stuff and that's great but I can still just waltz in.

I humbly request that the Resonance bot be given the ability to create walls. I understand this is modding and takes a while and effort. I did see your FAQ note about walls messing them up, but if it could be added as an early game, command activated strategy that would be fancy. Sorry if this has already been suggested but I couldn't see it anywhere on the comments or planned features.

I love the ai as it is though and if you can't give them that ability I'll still use them over the base AI 100% of the time. Thanks. :wololo:

1 thing I noticed is on standard the ally ai doesn't build a market or build up like the enemy does . Are there commands you can send to build up or build specific buildings. Much appreciated!

Works great in singleplayer but in Multiplayer, it lags the hell out of the game when you reach Castle/Imperial age. OOS every few minutes or so which isn't cool. Any chance of a fix?

I don't know whether this is only my problem, but whenever I play multiplayer using this bot I get continuous out of sync errors. It usually starts out fine, but after 30 minutes or so it gets very laggy. Otherwise an excellent AI to play with/against, brilliant work!

Great AI, in a 4v4 the deluge of chats is a bit much, and in a 1v1, Hard is way too tough, if you rush it, it gets a cheat bundle of resources and despite the damage you've done to it's vills, it can wash you back out and kill you off the back of it. In a standard boom or defensive game, the impact isn't that much, but if you want to do early aggression, it's just negated totally by the cheating resources thing. I wish I could try hard and hardest without the cheating resources, if there's any difference versus moderate anyway.

It's an engine issue: if you start a random map with normal computers the problem might go away. There's nothing individual AI scripters can do about it, though.

The team bug was fixed quite awhile ago. Resbot doesn't team against humans.
