im not gonna lie..i was stuck and tried to look up a walk thru on youtube. unfortunately, portal 2 "feedback" does not bring up your map. :) i stuck with it and got it after 15 min. great job.

Fun easy map.

Still good fun to solve.

I liked this. However I normally don't like making laser go through portal twice, reuse of space, the proper use of edgeless safety cube, and the idea behind it was enjoyable.

Excellent puzzle. I'm normally pretty rubbish at this sort of map, but this one I managed to work out logically in a reasonable time – thumbs up and added to favourites :)

Took me just under 45min. It is nice how, after a while, you get familiar with the chamber and which portal placement could be useful. Although, it was hard for me to foresee later steps (e.g. the first "crossing lasers" portal happened rather by chance and the second one was the only portal placement which was left to do) , it was still cool how everything fit together in the end!

Thanks!

In your map you can replace both instances with edited copies of your own. In your copy of global_ents.vmf look for the ambient_generic entity. If you can't find it, try Ctrl+Shift+F and type in '@music'. In the property 'Sound Name' you can choose a different file to be played. Use 'music' as a filter and you'll only see music files.

oh sorry

I forgot to leave my comment on the map.

This is great!
You really think outside the box!
totes amaze balls 6 Aug, 2015 @ 3:56am
Yes i know.
What I dont know is what to do to get rid of it.
olshi  [author] 5 Aug, 2015 @ 2:09pm
The music is set in an ambient_generic entity in the global_ents.vmf which is part of elevator_entrance.vmf. You can find these instances in Portal 2\sdk_content\maps\instances\p2editor.

how did you get rid of the pti music?

I'm dying to figure it out!

Nice medium difficulty laser puzzle. The logic of where to put the lasers was hard for me to figure in advance of activations via the portals - just followed along and the puzzle solved itself. Quite satisfying....! Thanks for creating in P@LC.. I missed these great puzzles in TWP site...

Hammer work is far better than the average PeTI modification (though there's still plenty of room for improvement...). I especially appreciate that the soundscape is custom; few mappers ever pay attention to that.

...and let's not forget the pure elegance of the puzzle, which may very well leave me speechless (no crazy angles, just 45-degree ones) :p2cube:

Very enjoyable map !

Haha took me about 5 min to solve because I got totally lucky on bridge move ^^' Nice puzzle, very nice use of angled lasers with lots of portals fired at same place. And nice and efficient design. Good work!

If you still want to submit it to the contest, you could just turn the laser emitters themselves 45 degrees in Hammer, instead of relying on the redirection cubes, right?

Nice test.
DeathWish808 15 Feb, 2015 @ 10:15am
I wouldn't say easy at all. I'd say a nice medium and probably hard for the casual player. Anyway, was a fun puzzle and very clever.

olshi  [author] 14 Feb, 2015 @ 2:23pm
Yeah, I suspected, that it would be on the easier side.
Polux 14 Feb, 2015 @ 6:05am
Interesting ideas, good puzzle well calculated.
Requiemsoul 13 Feb, 2015 @ 3:40pm
Easier than other maps of yours... but a lot fun and ingenious as usual. Well done.
