Favourite food, new strings on character select and so on?
As already suggested - he may change the color of things. Or find fault with the design and comment on something, breaking the 4th wall.
Or, he must sleep necessarily, because hi like sleep. And, he may be able sleep only during the day, not at night, because artists often break their daily regime.
Or something self-ironic, maybe. He can randomly create objects not immediately, but after 1-2 excuses.
(sorry for my bad english, hope you understand what I mean)
Like, he can first say "yes, yes, almost everything is finished" and then "It remains only some overlay"
or "I just have to play with colors" or else :D
Probably, you wanted to portray not the character "Digital Artist"(so that everyone could understand that this is an artist) but just yourself?
This is also fun, but your character has the potential to be much more interesting to play.
Usually, Don't Starve’s characters somehow correspond to their class, except their appearance.
Webber is half spider, so he has a silk beard and spider abilities, Wigfrid plays Valkyrie and has valkyrie helmet, spear and phrases, and so on. And their stats also reflect their personality.
We can understand who they are without reading the description. If I had not read it in the name of the mod, I'd never have guessed Whandler is an artist, especially digital.
I'd have thought he was a hipster or a gamer.
It could allow you to chang the colors of objects for aesthetic reasons (and maybe gives a slight sanity boost when painting it) like make your chest blue or your fence/wall black, or change the clothes and armor, etc. Or, allow him to create paintings that have to be set down and stay stationary once set (like chests, machines, etc) but give a small sanity boost to characters that are standing nearby. Kind of like a sanity hot-spot. Maybe make it so it degrades over time, so he has to peridically make new ones. And maybe a limitation on how many he could place down at once. Anyway, just some ideas I thought I'd throw out there.
Hmm, adding some sort of art mechanic is something I've thought about before, and is a possibility for the (not-so-near) future. I'm not sure exactly what the benefits of drawing pictures in the Don't Starve world would be, though. If you (or anyone else) have any specific ideas for what paintings could do in Don't Starve, let me know!
Yes! Whandler has been updated specifically to work with clothing. :)

OKAY THIS IS MY FAVORITE MOD.
EVER.
btw also just want to point out, your artwork is amazing!
Just fixed the ghost bug! Should be no more crashes. Let me know if anything else goes awry. :)
Thanks a lot for your feedback! Means a lot. :) I haven't heard anything else about Whandler causing crashes. A lot of people are subscribed to the mod so if it's a major bug I'll probably hear more about it from other people. It's hard to diagnose the problem without a crash log. Did it happen multiple times for you?
