You need to have purchased Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and have it linked to your Steam account, download and install Half-Life 2:Episode 2, then, in Garry's Mod, before starting any single/multi-player match, mount Half-Life 2: Episode 2. The dropdown to mounting other source games can be seen besides the language setting and the gamemode settings at the bottom right corner of the main menu.
what i can do with this?
You are missing Half-Life 2: Episode 2
The weapons do not have any props on them, and resemble exactly the weapon they are based off of.
That's great to know! I'll still be looking for any likely errors, but so far it seems no one has been complaining about such. I've also gotten back to making and updating GMOD addons, and I've got some great ones in store!
In other words, Good work!
All of the weapons currently implemented only shoot flechettes. Weapons that normally deal more damage will also deal more damage in contrast by shooting more powerful flechettes. (i.e. more flechettes per bullet)
I just edit the lua file externally with Notepad++, and restart my game after each edit.
Thanks! I appended [BROKEN] because of reports of it being broken for some, despite it working on my side. There may have been something to do with another addon which the lack of may be a problem, but I am unsure. I would have to test it alone when I find the time.
You can actually do what that mod does already without it via console, but must go through a process of commands and options. That mod does NOTHING to the Physics of the game, what so ever.
@Hugo I don't think you know a lot about scripts, files, or coding.
Yes, but that's just a boring infinity flechette SMG for admins, this addon fleshes it out with varying damage betwee weapons amd their abilities. The crossbow, for example, deals 20x the damage of the pistol, and has a zoom scope; etc.
Later, (not implemented yet!) each weapon will use a different amount of ammo depending on the weapon's strength, i.e. the pistol takes 1 unit of ammo per round, while the AR2 takes 2.
Oh and not to be an ass Hugo, but I have a gaming PC, it is unlikely error is caused by slow PC or need of more free data to run.
Great mod beside the slight "Extra Data" but for users who don't have many addons, or are starting GMOD anew, this is not a big threat to them, if at all.
I was wrong about the damage to an EXTENT, it is still a threat (I haven't resubscribed if you updated it) but only to a liable factor. I seemed to have slightly over reacted as the damage is not forever (If caused) and when alone, works nicely beside the fact that it brings back old HL2 elements like the ALT ammo bar and Bio Hazard warning, but at the same time, it seems to interfer with alot of addons, the only addons it doesn't seem to be messing with at all are the addons that are like weapons which were made off of the code of HL2 weapons, which was existing data. (Not all errors it causes with other addons are visable, but are seen via console, which if caused to offten, could make a crash via index buffer) and when it came down to it, it only made gmod unstable when there was a few mods that would interfer with code.
I do have All HL2 games, and HL1 games as well, but that may not be what caused the issue.
The issue may happen when players have addons that edit the Logic of HL2 (Like LIFE, and Addons that would make physics react differently than normal, or make bullets and such do other things) And since I metioned you some how left traces of HL2's normal game engine and it effects game play, it may React by messing with one another.
That is possible, but I'm not sure. I'll check next time by dismounting and seeing what breaks it.
And yes, the weapons can lag; the flechette crossbow for example is made to shoot 20 flechettes to simulate a higher damage ratio in contrast to the pistol.
maybe you need a really good pc to make this work? because i had some lags when i played with them but it was fun! love that addon ^^
That's a surprise! Not sure if some new version of GMOD fixed this, or some other cosmic reason.
I'll still try to fix the reported problem from A Naked Snake though.
Thank you for the very descriptive report! I'm sorry for any troubles and aches this may have caused, I will fix this as soon as possible.
