Sorry there. Currently I am very busy.
Venator 30 Nov, 2020 @ 2:42pm
sir is there any chance you could create a version that is the default skin of the gun, but with the modified scope optic? I love being able to actually use the reticle now but the white camo isnt my fav.

Update. Hey, i've just installed the default Musket files and found out that i have this glitch even on the default reticle (that mispointing red curvy arrow)! So, i guess, it's only the problem of my build of the game. I also noticed, that on the default texture the glitching spreads allover the arrow, unlike your reticle, where it uccurs only on the edges, and on the arrow it looks more like "white noise"/"film grain"/static/sparkling comparing to the pulsing in and out iridiscence on your reticle, and that also gave me the idea what could be the source of this bug - i once installed "no film grain" mod, which removes the "film grain" effect from the spectator's view and, as a side effect - from the pictures in the main menu. Maybe that effect also hides this colour bug on the Musket's reticle...
Vic 24 Mar, 2015 @ 1:30pm
I understand. This is already nice that you've created this one. And, well, yes, you are right about white and black reticles, i thought about that myself. More than that - i suppose the yellow reticle might be not the best choice for bright / yellowish maps like Mountainpass / Farm_Day for example. Cyan works fine though (Sliver/black Mauler with cyan "half-cross" by Barrage o' Fail proves that)
Motherf♥♥♥er Big Scorpio  [author] 24 Mar, 2015 @ 1:22pm
I appreciate your ideas but I do not have the time and to be honest the will to create a series of ponies (and ponyless) scopes. However, the bright reticle problem hiding is a great way to... well... hide the ugly.

I personally prefer red reticle or green cross. To match the camo I have to tink some time. A white reticle is a bad idea. In dark rooms it will be seen clearly but in bright maps it becomes useless invisible. The same goes for black reticle in the opposite direction. This requires some fine photoshop skills and great accuracy to make the scope sights beautiful.

By sufficient requests I may reconsider to create the mane-6 scopes.
Vic 24 Mar, 2015 @ 1:12pm
Hey, i've got a sudden idea! If the reticle shines white, why not to make the reticle itself to be of some bright color? For example, you can make a Reinbow Dash version with cyan, light green or light blue reticle, or, maybe, an Applejack version with yellow/gold reticle (and ponyless versions too, for those, who are not fans of MLP or just prefers more serious look of the game) or, maybe, just a white reticle, to match the arctic camo of the gun? If you can't fix the problem, maybe it is better to just hide it this way? How do you like the idea?
Vic 17 Mar, 2015 @ 6:54am
Ahh, nope. On SteamyTestMapV3 it still iridiscents with very bright color (see last uploaded screenshots) (Previously i've tested it on "Samurai Spirits Final Release" map)
Vic 17 Mar, 2015 @ 5:53am
Well, it still kinda iridescent, but now much less (i think the reticle became of more dark/saturated color now) no it could hardly be noticed, especially in combat, si, i guess, now it's fine.
I also know the thing with forced brightness/lighting colour on some maps, and i also tried the calibration, still it gave no effect, since my monitor is already set to optimal parameters (i just used the autosettings file from the CD that came with it when i bought it) but, as i said befor, i've tweaked the brightness/contrast ingame since the game was originally too dark for me, and that might be the reason i see some flaws in this reticle, normally invisible. Thanks for the weapon anyway.
RAMPAGE2988 16 Mar, 2015 @ 11:31am
Great it works fine with the pony don't care of color of weapon

Updated the download link with a visually better scope on the non-pony one, as Vic reported color problems with the scope.

@ Vic
I noticed. The non-pony scope is a template in my files and had to be tuned with Photoshop to be fitting correctly in KF. The first link was just with the raw template. You can now retry it. [read below because of 1000 char limit.]
Motherf♥♥♥er Big Scorpio  [author] 16 Mar, 2015 @ 8:52am
But that is not all. Each KF map seems to have various levels of brightness, which will ruin the texture for that specific map (Farm or EvilSantasLair) and I know not of any way to fix them equally unlit. The red reticle may still have some but way lesser white pixels. The pony picture is just fine here.

Plus as you mentioned, your KF settings may be of influence too or even the calibration of your display device. You see, I play most games on Full-HD 1920x1080 and calibrated my monitor correctly. I recommend you to re-check your display device settings and re-calibrate the colors correctly. I highly recommend to calibrate your colors using Windows Display Color Calibration http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Calibrate-your-display

Sure, i believe you that it is not intended, besides, i see the same glitch in the original version with pony, though, less noticable (maybe the pony distracts me from inspecting he reticle so carefully, or maybe it drops kind of a shadow on it or something), but still, it is present in the original version too. More than that, the same glitchy glow appears on the leftmost side of the pony itself as a vertical line (on the edge of the chest or the hoof - i forgot the exact location already) and some round parts (the face, probbly) have the same flashy outline too. Maybe it's something wrong with my PC, i dunno... Hardware, VGA drivers, some KF mods, whatever...
Motherf♥♥♥er Big Scorpio  [author] 15 Mar, 2015 @ 7:34am
@ Vic
I will see what I can do. The white outline on the red reticle is not intented to be like this (on your screenshots), nor planned to mock at the ponyless-version users. The reticle on the scope with the pony on it is just working fine.

I can stream for you my Killing Floor game with the musket if you like.
Vic 15 Mar, 2015 @ 4:04am
Well, i'm not sure, if it's intended to be so, or a cause of some other mods on my build, but i found kinda a graphical bug in this model (especially visible in the ponyless version): the reticle circle seems to be not in the solid red color, but instead kinda flashing/changing to white/light purple in the different parts all the time. Could it be fixed to a steady red color, please (at least for the "more serious" ponyless version)? Also i found out the camo itself isn't quite perfect (especially visible with on the piece that connects the scope and the gun itself under bright lighting/maps and adjusted gamma/contrast so the game become a bit not that dark in general, but let's just count that as a bit of "digital camo"). You can check out my latest screenshots to geth the idea on what i'm talking about.
Vic 14 Mar, 2015 @ 6:31am
Thanks a ton! In fact, after testing it, i find your reticle the most useful, comparing to the standart and the cyan one. Never missing those headshots now (which happened alot with previous reticles)

I have scheduled to upload the ponyless version for the next few days at most. Not promising but I will look into it. (I still need to find a reliable constant hosting side for free to use)
Vic 13 Mar, 2015 @ 1:36pm
Upload a version without the pony for manual download, please!

I've got pretty tired of my black/cyan Musket, so Arctic camo and that new crosshair might be a nice option to switch to, but i don't like ponies and i don't need any random objects in my sights, blocking the view.
