Despite the age, ARMA 3 always gives good missions, thank you very much

Fun little mission I really enjoyed it!

It would be awesome to have more of this or even generated somewhat randomly.
Starting location is little bit too easy to find on map even though I missed half of starting coordinate provided . I guess It may be hard to find area on Altis with less distinctive terrain features/buildings in sight.
I've also found one "funbreaking bug". To fix it you should remove AI companion for singleplayer as he can be way too helpful

Most definitely this is really good as practice for new players, unfamiliar with Altis.

Thank you Guys
Lets go for another mission

In retrospect, I think the best approach is to try to always know exactly where you are, and to also plan out your entire trip very carefully, knowing every angle and distance, in a way that you can follow exactly (i.e. beeline, or at least object(s) or nearby reference points). Definitely learned from this mod, thanks!

- I followed the advice of a book I read, which was to set my heading and find a point/object in the distance at that angle that I can head towards. The difficulty here is that due to the terrain and the brush, you can't always see that point/object...

- I'd say the most tricky part by far is determining how far you've been running for exactly... With no rangefinder nor GPS, you kinda just have to guess. You could perhaps try to be ultra exact and always always know your exact position on the map, but that's very time consuming; also, the terrain is hard to line up with the map, even when you're right there, because it's hard to estimate heights and angles and such. Even roads are sort of difficult to figure out their relative position and angle.

The tricky part is maintaining where you are at all times (once you find out). This is difficult because:

- Sometimes there just aren't any features nearby, and all you've got is terrain to look at; that's really hard to decipher, even if you know how to read a topo, especially when you're time-constrained and not sure where you are to begin with.

- You can't just set a heading angle and follow it in a beeline, due mostly to the terrain... So you start to deviate this way and that way 5 degrees, run around the mountain, ...and before long you've lost track of where you are.

Great mod! I like it. Really good practice. This is soooooooooooo much more difficult than you might think. I "solved" it in 41m on my second try, because I saw the 4th checkpoint but was still about 1m or less away. :P My first time I screwed up because I saw a sign in a town and forgot that it was a *road sign*, not the name of the town I was in. :D Ended up overshooting by a long shot and ending up at the water...

Took me 28mins 30sec. Although I have to admit that was my second attempt. On my first go I misjudged my initial location so restarted the mission after I reached the first check point when it was obvious I wouldn't finish all locations in time. So I did have the advantage of knowing where I started on the second attempt. It would be great if there were more missions like this available.

Very good training! 30:45 min

Took me 37:26min. Thanks alot, had alot of fun!

Took me 24 minutes and 59 seconds

That 9 minutes is impossible unless you got a car xDD

Cool! however, just like with the first mission in arma, it would've been cooler if the waypoints were not given in grid refferences...also..the 40 min timer really killed me and my buddy, eventho it felt like we were non stop running/walking quite efficient to the next point...so we didn't make it to the last one by a few hundred meters.

Now my buddy and i are looking for more! haha, and maybe we'll make our own involving shooting mortar without arty computer or shooting a HVT from far away where the spotter is on a different location (to make targeting a bit more work)

Good mission, but dont like the timer.

Like, player does same things, but in light heli, with no LZ markers, distances are 2-5 km.
Just think about it - sunny day, the hum of Hummingbird a eh? :)

This was a great mission....One thing that I would like to see added is the zodlandnav mod. It offers a lot of land navigation tools. This could allow you to expand your course and make it a little more difficult. Overall a great mission. I ran out of time heading to last checkpoint.
