@Reckless Laggard
Haha, you're a trooper then. I didn't think DX9 could even get current content, or are you playing an out-of-date version?
Reckless Laggard (Tirristhar) 22 Aug, 2019 @ 12:57am
Best way to learn the game is back to the basics, enjoyably frustrating that way DX-9 that is.
Deaso  [author] 12 Aug, 2019 @ 6:08pm
Apologies all but I no longer interact much with SE and these are likely heavily out-of-date. They were never updated for DX11 and that may be causing problems.

@Reckless Laggard I didn't even think DX9 has been supported since 2016, I would imagine you may experience bigger issues that poorly adjusted LCD images.

May have become too big for my DX9 game

Yes, the LCARS will be especially useful. Thank you. RIP L.Nimoy.

@all

Thanks guys, and yes, Nimoy will be missed greatly. Live Long and Prosper.

@Rhedd
Well, if you ever want to give it a go, let me know. As you can probably tell from my avatar, I enjoy building ST themed ships, so we could always work on one together :)
Though I must say, I have predominantly been building Elite Dangerous ships lately.
Rhedd 27 Feb, 2015 @ 10:52pm
Well, these sure make me wish I built Star Trek ships! Even though I don't need them, nice job!

I came on the workshop to commemorate Leonard Nimoy with some Star Trek themed stuff, glad I found some. Live long and prosper!

@Tristavius - Thanks for the tips, will look into it :)

Nice panels, but front the screenshots they look a little dull (i.e. a very non-illuminated surface). To get these looking 100% right, you need to use the transparency channel on each image to set the 'brightness'. White (not transparent) will be dull and matt while black (fully transparent) will be extremely bright and reflective. From my own experience A mid-grey works well for bright areas (whites, yellows etc) and just a little off-white for the darker areas like black.

@ Neonin Thanks. Come see me when you do make a ST-themed vessel, I'll probably have new stuff for ya, haha :))

@MT_Nardo
Yeah I've thought about doing that. I'll work on it later and inform you when complete. Most of my ships that have proximity sensors have a system where flashing lights sirens and LCD warnings come up. Yellow/Red alert would be a natural progression for long range sensors, etc.
Neonin 24 Feb, 2015 @ 10:22am
I'm not likely to do any ST-themed vessels any time soon, but this is very nicely done so have a rate :)
MT_NARDO74 24 Feb, 2015 @ 9:56am
very nice will be a handy mod for anyone wanting to build a Star Trek themed vessel but... any chance on making the red and yellow alert signs a seperate pack i see those two being much more versitile and usable for just about every large ship and station out there. Paired up w/ a flashing interior light and a timer block voila! ship wide warning system you could probably even trigger em w/ sensors
Deaso  [author] 24 Feb, 2015 @ 8:17am
Thanks!!! :)))
