And that's why she's the leader of the Scythians in Civ VI.
Mopsy 3 Sep, 2016 @ 1:53pm
Some scythians became turks, but by then they weren't Scythians anymore. Tomyris was a leader of the Massagetae, which was "part" of Scythia

Then whatever they're teaching you in Turkey is wrong, because historians are uncertain about the ethnicity of the Xiongnu and all historians agree by consensus that the Scythians were Iranian. Just open the wikipedia page on the Scythians and see for yourself - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scythians
Bubblegum  [author] 16 Jun, 2016 @ 12:50pm
Turks only migrated to that region after the establishment of the gokturk Turkic Khaganate, well after the Scythians were long gone. Scythians were Iranian, anyone will tell you the same.
Bubblegum  [author] 16 Jun, 2016 @ 12:47pm
And Scythians were Iranian as well, fyi.
Bubblegum  [author] 16 Jun, 2016 @ 12:46pm
The Massagetae were Iranian.

what a terrain textures mod do you use?
on the images does the environment different from its standart game.
Nilt 1 Mar, 2015 @ 12:15pm
Funny, installing your mod started it and removing it stopped it. Sure it's probbaly a combination of yours and something else but I'm not about to spend hours troubleshooting it, either. As I said, it's an interesting civilization but *something* is up with it that makes it unplayable on my end. Obviously, when dealing with mods, YMMV.

@Nilt Just checked and my mod isn't causing that
Prinz Eugen von Savoyen 28 Feb, 2015 @ 10:32pm
Has someone try the link from Nix (look at first page) - is it okay?
Nilt 28 Feb, 2015 @ 9:33pm
Interesting civ, especially for early game warfare. Problem is, once i get to upgrading my units, the game drops to Desktop almost every time I click to upgrade something. Tried it. Uninstalled it.
Pilatian 28 Feb, 2015 @ 7:35am
Has potential to be an amazing civ, although they by far have the worst true starting location in the game (with community patch and YNAEMP).. pure desert flatland, with river.
Libero 28 Feb, 2015 @ 5:27am
Будет приятно играть за своих предков ;)
Bubblegum  [author] 27 Feb, 2015 @ 12:47am
@Goodwin Cockburn The Scythian Goldsmith has the least situational effect of the civ, so I overloaded it with effects. But still, the major difference from the normal stables is that it grants culture from horses and gold, and production from gold as well (And since all iron becomes gold, you can't use a forge, so it balances it out somewhat), and the culture gained from mounted units, which is not that much and need gold nearby (Iron is also not found everywhere, so you might start with no gold at all near your first cities).

@People who want my textures, go back a few pages of comment.
Bubblegum  [author] 27 Feb, 2015 @ 12:43am
@Rei'No Otoko Get it through Trade or City States. I always play for domination victory and barely ever have iron in my territory; all of it usually comes from allies.
Bubblegum  [author] 27 Feb, 2015 @ 12:42am
@JEELEN Have you tried the manual download? Not sure what's going on there.
Bubblegum  [author] 27 Feb, 2015 @ 12:42am
@Centurion Marius Is there something wrong with that? They all existed historically.
High Ham of The Black Forest 26 Feb, 2015 @ 2:24pm
seems a bit strong with the scythiamn goldsmith
Melon 26 Feb, 2015 @ 1:15pm
Yeah how does your terrian look like that?
Dick Cheney 26 Feb, 2015 @ 12:20pm
What mod changes your terrain?
Rei'No Otoko 26 Feb, 2015 @ 11:53am
What do they do whne they want firgates, if all their iron turned to gold! Mitas anyone
Doomed World 26 Feb, 2015 @ 11:44am
the huns came an forced them to migrate to civ
JEELEN 26 Feb, 2015 @ 10:23am
@TarcisioCM Subscribed, emptied cache, but civ is not showing up on startup. Tried 3 times. :(
CT-1187 26 Feb, 2015 @ 4:29am
Whats with all the rome 2 factions migrating to Civ?
[MLT] noob gamer 26 Feb, 2015 @ 12:32am
this is really cool- I don't know much about the history of that part of the world, so it's interesting to see this! I also think the civilization is fun to play. I like how it has a focus on experience and combat bonuses like some other civs, but they work in more interesting ways (did that make sense? lol)
Loremaster 25 Feb, 2015 @ 8:25pm
K, Thanks
Bubblegum  [author] 25 Feb, 2015 @ 5:49pm
@Novel The Time Cat They will, in time.
Loremaster 25 Feb, 2015 @ 3:19pm
Could you update the older mods you have, like sicily and etruscan league?
^1Masuimi^4TM 25 Feb, 2015 @ 3:17pm
i like it.. thnx
Prinz Eugen von Savoyen 25 Feb, 2015 @ 9:20am
look nice - thanks
Techne 24 Feb, 2015 @ 10:13pm
Thank a bunch Nix
Bubblegum  [author] 24 Feb, 2015 @ 12:21pm
@ianandsue5 Do you have any ideas for the Dahae? I'm leaning towards making them as a proto-parthian civ instead of a "proper" Dahae, since I have little info available about them.
Techne 24 Feb, 2015 @ 8:33am
Hi, I see some pine trees in your preview images. If I may ask, what mod are they from?
nix 24 Feb, 2015 @ 7:44am
Yay, another mod with a female leader!

We now have... what's that, 9? Sámi, Kongo, Kalmar Union, Argentina, Victoria's UK, Tahiti, Vietnam, Dene, and now these guys. That's as many as in the base game!

Not a feminist or anything of the sorts, but I'm happy to see more female leaders regardless.
