sorry but this mod was discontinued many years ago. I may restart something new or similar with HW3 eventually, but I have no plans to do modding on HWRM again.

I'm not sure if this is just a problem for me, but the textures for UEFg Karuna, Narayana, and UED Solaris are kinda bugged...
Wild Tangent 8 Oct, 2016 @ 12:12am
I get that problem on the remastered version
Cerazor 12 Mar, 2016 @ 5:40pm
I try playing this mod. But all I get is the regular game minus the campaign. Is there a way I can fix this?
JMP 18 Mar, 2015 @ 8:23am

Woops, I didn't see that one. I'm putting it and the credits to the team.

Thanks!

I am just going to quote the readme on this:

"Everything in this mod can be considered free to use as long as credit is given where it's due. Feel free to contact me if you are not sure who exactly is to be credited for something specific in the mod."

As far as this specific bit is concerned, the subspace jump effect is to be credited to the Ancient-Shivan War [www.hard-light.net] team.

Hello,

I've been working onto remastering another mod for the community at large (the Wing Commander one) and when I saw yours, I was more than impressed and had a question: would you allow me to use, with all credits and recognition given, of course, the hyperspace effects from your mod?

Shure its 4X ... Xpand? You need to take map controll so you expand to asteroid belts to make that happen, Xplore? you need to scout to find RU (ressources) and the enemy, Xploit? you need to exploit either asteroid belts or weaknesses of your foe and Xterminate? you pretty much kill all red marked things you encounter even asteroids.

So yea by definition its 4X but not grand scale strategy (wich is mistaken to be 4X btw.)

As for the mod: If it will be finished on HW:R then it will be a good thing ... sadly most FS1 and FS2 mods for Homeworld 2 where stoped way bevor they even hit something that would be called Beta ... Especiel Blue Planet needs something like that as it was prety open end (even if we all know that a certain admiral as well as a certain Raynor class ship would help Earth so pls. Remember that there are people who want to save earth not just conquer it!)

Infyrno 25 Feb, 2015 @ 5:15pm
Now this is what I'd call "outta left-field." But seeing as Blue Planet was perhaps the greatest FreeSpace mod of all time, I'm really, really happy to see this project revived.

Any chance of seeing a port of the "classic" FreeSpace mod? Either way, I can't wait for the full release. :D
Foolick 25 Feb, 2015 @ 4:11pm

Hostile 25 Feb, 2015 @ 3:59pm

Hostile 25 Feb, 2015 @ 3:59pm

Ryudo Kaze 25 Feb, 2015 @ 2:22pm
I am so looking forward to this, because I'm a huge fan of both game series, Homeworld as well as Freespace, and I really enjoyed the total conversion Blue Planet. Both War in Heaven and Age of Aquarius were exceptionally well made. Especially the directors cut version of Age of Aquarius. The voice over was just fantastic. So naturally I have high hopes for a HWR mod on that department, especially since this boosts popularity, not only to fans, but also new players as well, if it's done right. ^^
MatthTheGeek  [author] 25 Feb, 2015 @ 1:37pm
No, this is the exact same demo version, which I have relabelled HWBP Classic in order to distinguish it from the HWRemastered version I will start work on as soon as the mod tools are made available.
Old Timer Mike 25 Feb, 2015 @ 1:35pm
You made my question obsolete. Damn you :D
Old Timer Mike 25 Feb, 2015 @ 1:34pm
Hi Matth.t,

Has his mod evolved beyond the Demo that is available on ModDB since 25/may/2012?
MatthTheGeek  [author] 25 Feb, 2015 @ 1:31pm
As originally released here [www.hard-light.net]. A HWR version will be in the works shortly.
