"Everything in this mod can be considered free to use as long as credit is given where it's due. Feel free to contact me if you are not sure who exactly is to be credited for something specific in the mod."
As far as this specific bit is concerned, the subspace jump effect is to be credited to the Ancient-Shivan War [www.hard-light.net] team.
I've been working onto remastering another mod for the community at large (the Wing Commander one) and when I saw yours, I was more than impressed and had a question: would you allow me to use, with all credits and recognition given, of course, the hyperspace effects from your mod?
So yea by definition its 4X but not grand scale strategy (wich is mistaken to be 4X btw.)
As for the mod: If it will be finished on HW:R then it will be a good thing ... sadly most FS1 and FS2 mods for Homeworld 2 where stoped way bevor they even hit something that would be called Beta ... Especiel Blue Planet needs something like that as it was prety open end (even if we all know that a certain admiral as well as a certain Raynor class ship would help Earth so pls. Remember that there are people who want to save earth not just conquer it!)
@Halcyon -- 4X?, homeworld isnt 4X
F'nG YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU.
Go General GO!
Oh Jesus Chriiiiist
I fucking love Blue Planet, and I'm super happy to see this mod come back.
Any chance of seeing a port of the "classic" FreeSpace mod? Either way, I can't wait for the full release. :D
Has his mod evolved beyond the Demo that is available on ModDB since 25/may/2012?
