During the weekend I will investigate why this is no longer launching in classic.

A remastered port will not happen ever for multiple reasons. Firstly, I am currently bound by a contract that disallows me from working on any RTS other than my actual work, including modding. Porting would require a massive amount of work, and would be not desirable from a design point of view (the old team is still around, we communicate, but aren't working on anything together).

The mod was going to transition into remastered in a new form, but that project has been put on hold until someone either steps up to take my place or I regain the ability to work on RTS mods (as well as get more free time).

i cant play classic :( this is one of the BEST mods available for the game and i CANT play it! PLEASE port this to Remastered!

@BinderAJ: That's an intentional feature because the AI can't tell the difference. Hopefully we will be able to figure that one out for the Rebirth mod in remastered when we start making it.

I think there is a bug, the AI is not affected by nebula damage at all...even their fighters can traverse nebula with ease

how do mining stations work? i cant seem to get them to do any thing even when i put a collector with it as well as gather'ers i tell them to dock with the station and they just dock with the collector and sit around

@The original slothy bastard: Uhm nope: The first number for crew is the in use crew. The 2. is the crew max that you have atm the 3. number is your total maximum. Back to the 2. wich is speciel: It will slowly increase and hit the max cap. If you lose ships that number will decrase coresponding to the crew cost of the ship. Same goes for Officers. Loosing a ship is double the pain sadly even on slowest speed it does not realy mather... it should take longer to refill crew and even longer for officers.

I like what this adds but can I get al ink that explains how to properly play this mod? I dont understand how to build the more advanced capital ships which I really want to see in action.

jeff, games usually last an hour in Enhanced. What you said is more likely to happen in the original mod.

Way too complex for me I couldn't even figure out how to make a simple capital ship easy difficulty ai destroys me everytime. No thanks not hardcore enough to deal with this I prefer vanilla remaster instead of this.

Hey calcifer. You have to go to fleet research and upgrade recruitment rate. ALSO I FIGURED OUT THE CREW FUNCTION.
So as a community service (get it?) I'm going to post how the crew works.

the first number of both is the number you are using. The second and third is your maximum. From what I can guess on the crew number the 3rd is the number of PILOTS for strike craft that you can field. Its pretty unintuitive but when I figured it out my life got easier. If you have more questions post here and I'll do my best to answer

If anyone is having problems with Homeworld 2 classic on ATI Graphics cards where it crashes and the ErrorLog.txt (in Homeworld\Homeworld2Classic\Bin\Release) it says "Homeworld2.exe caused an Access Violation in module atioglxx.dll at 0023:53aa6c61"

the way to fix it is to get catalyst 14.4 and get the installer to unpack only, not install the drivers. then go to where it was unpacked and find "...\Packages\Drivers\Display\W86A_INF\" Hold 'Shift' and Right Click on the B171094 folder, and select 'Open command window here' and run "expand atioglxx.dl_ atioglxx.dll" in it, that should make atioglxx.dll inside the B171094 folder, take that and put it in your "Homeworld\Homeworld2Classic\Bin\Release folder", the 14.4 version of atioglxx.dll you just made and moved with the latest drivers (Omega 14.12) makes it work again.

Truman: Complex Enhanced is generally faster paced. No research score/rank restrictions offer you a very quick early game progression and you are not locked down to certain ship classes.
No energy system means that you are not penalized for being active on the map with capitals. In addition, there's a ton of balance changes to make the game feel fair for each race, but it usually breaks apart at the super capital phase.
In the normal complex that "breaking apart of balance" happens much earlier, and games are considerably longer. Also I feel that it is less optimized performance-vise. Hope that sums it up for you.

I love both versions of the Compley series, but enhanced is a little bit better.
