@Relentless Hey bro, the mod is 9 years old, get over it. If it's broken don't use it.

Common sense would tell you a mod that was made in 2015 probably doesn't work any more. Get used to checking dates on mods before installing...or better yet, stop being a lazy sh** and fix it yourself if you want it.

I mean, this mod is over 7 years old, pretty sure updates has broken this mod to some degree.

You don't have to subscribe to a mod if something is wrong with it, the variation in skin color is good enough for me to overlook a few issues with it, no reason to analyze my abandoned mod, if you don't like it, unsubscribe or fix it, I'm providing it for free, I have no obligation to fix it and no intention to. I could just remove it instead of continuously deleting critical comments.

tested with no mods installed other than tumtara-infected.

it has yellow zombies with grey arms. https://imgur.com/a/cKwDka0

if you look at the picture reel, you can see his zombies are yellow which further proves this mod has issues. yellow skin isn't human. and yellow with grey arms isn't human either.

This mod only changes material files, if your models are doing strange things after death then thats another mod.

Recent game updates may have broken this mod, this was made using the old L4D2 version, not L4D2 Beta...so when Beta replaced the original L4D2 it might have changed something.

As of right now this mod is no longer being updated, but with 2200 subscribers, theres obviously a lot of people its still working for, so maybe its another player mod thats conflicting with this one?

Sorry guys, I haven't played L4D2 in a long time.

It's not working for me. Not sure what's up, but they don't look any different.
Jericho 29 JUL 2018 a las 15:49
This mod made me realize even further that all of the body models are of white people. Seriously, none of these bodies look particularly "black." Especially for females. Apparently in this world busty women and large ass types don't exist.

Hard for me to find a retexture, but i finally found this. It's not much change, but it make do.
It's cool and all to see Common Infected model replacer but those usually lacks gibbing effect that only applies to Common (and Uncommon) models.

hello! i'm not sure if the problem im having is the mods fault or another mod of mine, but when ever i kill a normal infected, their arms go straight out, and their wrists snap forward. they stay like that because i threw a pipe and when they flew through the air they all looked the same. like i said not sure if this is your mods fault or another mod of mine. just a heads up! :)
thebadmankev 23 JUN 2016 a las 4:22
can you make it skin tone only? i dont like the color of the clothes on this one, i have another one that'll go great with this mod:tank:

There is a file on the workshop of L4D2 Beta common infected. The beta common infected had colourful clothing and isn't too light coloured or anything. It's pretty much perfect. So, I suggest maybe adding some logos and designs to the shirts and stuff.
Cursed Hawkins 12 MAR 2015 a las 18:16
I'm loving how we the gamers are taking time out of our lives to correct the wrong that Valve has done with this game
The Unlucky Medic 10 MAR 2015 a las 14:04
This has potential.
sev 7 MAR 2015 a las 12:51
Definitely makes the L4D2 common feel more like the L4D1 common with some actual variety for once. Look forward to further updates.
Uni  [autor] 6 MAR 2015 a las 16:36
Glad to hear it! It took some getting used to on my end too but it gives a more complete "real" feeling to the game seeing zombies with clothes colored like the clothes you see people wear out on the street or at the mall or something....I dont know how to explain it lol. Im happy with the way its turned out so far, glad to see others who like it as well.
Benjuhh 5 MAR 2015 a las 22:32
Replaying with this mod. It's starting to grow on me now. :)
Uni  [autor] 5 MAR 2015 a las 19:17
I just played a campaign today and yeah, that neon red shirt HAS to be fixed, Ill have it fixed soon.
ZD-2409-2222 5 MAR 2015 a las 17:05
Well I like the mod, the clothes could be a little more darker and not so flurescent, however it adds a diversity to the game which is nice. :D
Uni  [autor] 5 MAR 2015 a las 10:14
Well the screenshots above are with fullbright on, have you tried it yet? They're not as bright as they appeared this morning here. I might darken them even further still, I havent actually played through a campaign with them yet to get the full feel of where they sit color-wise.

Suggestions are welcomed, I can desaturate them some to see how that feels.
Benjuhh 5 MAR 2015 a las 9:58
@Maverick
I completely agree when you say that the clothes are too grey. It's unrealistic and dumb. I also appreciate the mod you made, I do. :boomer: I just think it's a little too bright and flashy to be realistic as well.
Uni  [autor] 5 MAR 2015 a las 9:48
I still dont understand the mentality people have that just because its the apocalypse suddenly everythings going to be dull and grey.
Benjuhh 5 MAR 2015 a las 9:39
Yeah, interesting idea but this is way too saturated and neon for real life, let alone an apocolypse.
sev 5 MAR 2015 a las 9:18
Great mod...

I'm so tired of looking at all the damn grey looking common in L4D2.

At least in L4D1, the common were more vibrant and colorful and dressed different. Too bad they didn't port them over properly.
⚡ It's an Oreo!™ ⚡ 5 MAR 2015 a las 7:10
Mm.
Uni  [autor] 5 MAR 2015 a las 7:09
Im also working on an addon that replaces all of the run-down looking stuff into less run-down looking stuff...In l4d1 it was only 2 weeks after the infection, l4d2 Im assuming takes place about 4-5 weeks after it...the world wouldnt look that worn down just from zombies walking around.

So far Ive retextured almost 300 materials, things such as concrete walls, wallpaper, signs, wood, streets, etc has been redone. Theres no public release for it yet and probably wont be for a long time because I still have between 1000 and 1500 textures left to do.
⚡ It's an Oreo!™ ⚡ 5 MAR 2015 a las 6:53
That's true, and yeah the colors are WAY too vibrant lol
Uni  [autor] 5 MAR 2015 a las 6:48
I did just upload a new version where the colors dont pop as much...they were way too bright before Ill admit lol
Uni  [autor] 5 MAR 2015 a las 6:46
I dont think during the zombie apocalypse everyones going to change into their grey clothes though.
⚡ It's an Oreo!™ ⚡ 5 MAR 2015 a las 6:06
I won't lie, the colors are very vibrant. But the reason why they weren't is because the dull color gives off a sense of despair. You're in the apocalypse, surrounded by zombies.. But the saferoom, it's safe.. It's warm, cozy, and vibrant...
ZD-2409-2222 5 MAR 2015 a las 4:40
Its a great concept, I am just about to test it out and relay more info later.
