@RetroGaming465 Open it back up in VTFEdit, and save the new .vtf texture files in the folder Garrysmod\garrysmod\materials\models\weapons\v_physcannon. The game will use that texture instead of the original.

@RetroGaming465 Focus on normal for now, edit the detail texture if things look odd. You don't NEED photoshop, you could use anything as long as you've exported it as a PNG, BMP or something.

@RetroGaming465 Looking back at one of your previous comments, that's a vtx file? You need to extract vtf files instead. It can only open vtf files.

@RetroGaming465 Do you mean you get the red error thing, or a missing texture? When converting your image back into a vtf, compare all of the properties of your vtf with the properties of the original texture in VTFEdit, they must all match.

@RetroGaming465 I would use the dx90 one, as that is the one that would be used with the higher version of DirectX. You could replace both if you want to accommodate users using lower video settings.

@Blue J 360 I'm not going to give you a full tutorial here, I'll try to keep this short. Extract the texture from the garrysmod_dir.vpk file in your game's files using GCFScape. Open, custimize, and then save the texture using VTFEdit. Save the new .vtf texture files in you the folder \garrysmod\materials\models\weapons\v_physcannon. The game will use that texture instead of the original. Hopefully that helped at least a tiny bit. :)
