I have tried this mod over and over, but it does not work. There were two other mods like this one where you could play the pirates, however neither of those worked either.

Why are you doing cataclysm races? There is already a fully fledged mod that has 100% (or close enough to it) finished the races and is planing on adding the campain.

Should be a patch out this weekend that will address some, though not all, bugs. The AI being the biggest thing I am poking at. The previous changes to the AI's logic tree just did not mix well with all of my big grand plans.

It appears that something broke the AI for this mod again. It looks like none of the races build anything at all, they just sit around with their starting units and collect resources until I or a vanilla race come by and demolish them.

speking of bug. The multigun cruiser is spawning next to taiidan flagship( not only for the AI ) and the AI have no idea what it vill do whit the other races. Its funny that the beast build a lout of missel destroyers.

Assuming there has not been another "patch that broke all the mods" in the past week I missed, it could just be some random hardware issue. Had a problem once where certain computers had no sound. Anyway:

Go to your (folder where steam games are)/Homeworld/HomeworldRM/Bin/Release and find HwRM.log and open it with your favorite text editor. Copy the contents and leave it in a discussion post somewhere and I will see if I cannot figure out what it is. That way I can murder the bug!

Getting there. Throwing up the first patch in awhile now, only fixes some sound bugs (and not all of the sound bugs either). But it is a start. Swore I would get this back on track, finish the damn Enterprise model I bought at hobby lobby, and make a few halloween decorations, no matter what, before the month was out.

The model kinda fell apart, but, the mod did not! Still pondering what to do for halloween but, eh, gettin there.

@LeviathansWrath I am sorry to hear that. Amazing how quick things just turn sour. My dog was fine, nothing seemed wrong. Sure he did not play as much but he was pushing 11ish (no one is sure on his age). For a golden that was old, so sure he is going to slow down. But he acted fine. Then he has this massive seizure and it takes 3 diff Vets, ultimately a University referral, to figure out what was wrong. Some sorta blood vessel cancer, technical lingo was lost on me. His sister lives on thankfully.

Ugh I am just now getting back into the hobbys as normal. I actually did some painting on a model. Like a physical model, not a CG. With glue and stuff? Anyway, this weekend I will set a day aside to screw with things. As far as voices, ugh I will have to see if they changed something else in my downtime. Aside from a few games on the weekends, I bascially let anyone else that wants to to use my account for games and have not read patch notes for things in a few weeks.

@altroth, i know how ya feel, had to put our 13 yr old cat bandit down this yr, that has hurt me so much. We didnt catch his liver disease in time and didnt notice anything was wrong with him untill it was already too late. Anyways reporting on the mod beast ship interface voices are being used for turanic ships.

Sorry things have been slow on this end. Recently, one of my dogs had to be put to sleep after it was discovered he had cancer like everywhere. So in addition to really messing up productivity on mod, it really messed up everything I had going on. Had spent a few weeks trying to figure out what was wrong, eventually took him to a university vet center. Egh, so yeah, mod work = low. Once I put my thoughts together, work will resume.

If anyone out there is interested, we are in need of a arty-type that is good for doin a few images. Such as a new image for the mod, a new backround image, things like that. Not a whole lot, really, but still stuff I lack the skills for and the previous person kinda had a slew of bad luck on her so she has little free time for a month or two.

We are now back on track. Mod works again for those who missed the update notes. Sadly I have to port over a lot of stuff first...things like AI knowing which ships to combat dock ect did not easily poof over. Workin on it though!

GBX has changed the file arrangements and string locations for many of the files in game. Almost all mods are going to be affected.

When they release a patch to the main game, it quite often breaks a lot of mods. We, the lucky mod devs, have to see what they changed and incorporate it into what we did. I did not finish the work I was doing last night before bed and now with this slew of changes, I may have to start over on some things.

But in the end the main game patches add stuff we need too. Plus fixes and such. What can you do?

Hello thank you for this awesome MOD just wanted to point out when i vs the Kadeshi they dont buld any units they just keep collecting money and fly around.

This will be their new front line frigate model with the current one replacing the old raider/boarding frigate. As was intended from the start. Ignore the ship's name and lack of weapon stats as this is just a test phase to make sure it works proper.

If you are going "WTF? Teal?" This frigate has team coloring. And my default team colors are Republic Taiidan defaults. The other frigates will be gettin this treatment soon. Then the destroyers. And so on and so on.

Well...regardless of how many of you there are, if this mod continues to be supported it would make it more or less the best wholly new mod for Remastered up on the workshop at the moment imo. Most of the rest are just patches or ports of old, long abandoned HW1/HW2 Classic mods.


Just out of curiosity, would you consider adding in some balancing and ship behavioural changes? Like those seen in the Homeworld Community Patch maybe? As it stands I have to choose between the two mods :'(

I ripped open your mod's .big file (sorry), and the Community Patch's one in order to try and combine the two. I added the Community Patch's ship values and flight behaviours to your mod, however I'm clueless at this sort of thing, and I couldn't get it to work without crashes at various stages in-game.

Anyway, it's just a request; I know balancing and 'patching' isn't really the focus of this mod, but it would be amazing if you could implement a thing or two ;)

No the mod was not abandoned. Just...two of us. Not exactly a massive team. Everyone I reached out to for help is either busy, not interested, or does not have a clue what homeworld even is (apparently there are some of those out there, who knew). The last Turanic ship will be in by weekend then it is just a matter of fixing up their bad utiltiy ships as all of their front line ships will be done I think.

For the Kadeshi look at the PTV mod on moddb. If you get permission that mod has exelent designs for all races.
