@Bitttle Bill, no ship traffic goes through the Niagara River. It is diverted to the Welland Canal. The Welland canal runs adjacent to the city of Niagara Falls and thus would not be included. I still made my own canal.

Love the look of this map, only question;
Niagara is able to ship container ships down to the city via the St Lawrence River and then the Niagara River, should the game not reflect that? Just seemed a little odd that there was no ship connection to the map.

Trollsama at one point the falls did recede that much, but now it only moves by about 3-4 inches every 10 years for the american falls, and less than 1 foot per year for the horseshoe falls.

I have been here like 4x now and it still amazes me. Anyways just to let you know I have added this map to the Cities Skylines - Settlement Maps of Canada Collection. And yes only part of Niagra Falls is in Canada guys!

This is a great map! I adore it! My only gripe is that the falls don't roar when you get near them. Hopefully fixed in updates to the regular game?

Ineed, the smaller falls, known as the American Falls, is 100% in the US. The bigger falls, the Horsehoe Falls is part Canadian and part American owned.

Side note: Horseshoe Falls slow recession caused by the slow erosion of the rock(roughly 1.5 meters or 5 ft per year) has moved it more than 11 Km from its original position, during this trip the "ownership" or land claim of the falls has varried as it ran along the borderline, reaching its current 1/3 2/3 state.

It has also reached an interesting point now in its recession, and it should be cool to see how it evolves around the larger body of water.

last i checked the american Falls are 100% American (obviously :P) And Horshoe falls is 1/3 american, 2/3 Canadian. ;) with that noted, Looks great! I owuld have known what you were going for right away having only seen the picture. :)

Niagara falls river is split between Canada and US. the American falls are the small broken down ones and the horseshoe falls soley are in Canada. I hope everyone enjoys the map. Don't forget the Amnerica look out bridge. Just build a bridge across and delete unitll its only one large section hanging over the river.
hirshja 11 Mar, 2015 @ 7:54pm
Part of it is in the US as well
Maelstrom 11 Mar, 2015 @ 7:27pm

Great work. I love your use of detail on the American Falls with the extra "rocks" at the bottom.
