Hello Keith, The 2MT is a fabulous machine - I like those smaller steam locos very much. Best wishes, Tob

Thank you very much, Keith! And what a funny fact that I was driving exactly this scenario (!!!) some minutes ago! :-D Best regards, Tob

Hi Tob , just want to add my thanks to all the others. I really enjoy your scenarios, I had a job getting to Carlisle on time at the first attempt , but that was because I just coasted in, next time I got up speed and made it on time. Thanks for your efforts.
Regards, Keith.

Hello Tony, what a nice feedback! Thank you very much! And yes - the soundpack and the new alerts make life a lot more easy! I will do some more scenarios for the 6MT - there seems to be a lot of need. :-D All the best! Tob

Hi Tob, it's nice to stretch the legs on a Riddles Locomotive. I ran the scenario twice, once without sound enhancement and once with. The first time round you had to keep one eye on the track for yellow magnets (AWS) and the other eye on the AWS indicator on the HUD, as you can't hear the alarm unless you are in the cab, thankfully I didn't have a dishonorable stoppage.
The second time round, with the sound pack, I could hear the bells and alarms from outside the cab providing you were close to the loco as the sound diminished the further you moved away from the Loco.
As usual the AI was fantastic and well timed for effect, plus borrowed locos from somerset to add to the busy line. (aren't we all a bunch of hopeless train spotters at heart!) Nicely done Tob and a big thank's for sharing it with us all.

Tony

Thank you for this scenario. I love the West Lines of Scotland and can only admire the effort that you have made compiling this.

Hello David, no, no , it wasn't ignorance, telling me to rework the scenarios for the 6MT! Please feel free to give me any input! I am always glad about that as it helps me getting new ideas for new scenarios - or for a rework. NeverthelessI am sure you will not regret it, if you buy the 2MT sometime. :-) All the best! Tob

Hello Bill, thank you for your nice feedback. Well, I know what you mean... I always try to use as much default stock, so many people can enjoy the scenarios I release. And I thought it might be better with that 7F than seing only Black Fives on the line. At least the 7F is pulling only freight trains and no passenger trains, right? :-D It took me a while to work out which loco was used for which purpose. All the best, Tob

A good run with sufficient time to work up some speed on this lovely sunny day in the borders, a very enjoyable scenario. I still find it strange to see the S&DJR 2-8-0 so far from home, the 8F would be more appropriate. Thanks for your time and effort, Bill B.

Thank you, Tob, for your very full reply. I'm interested in what you say about the 2MT. On your recommendation I must buy it some time soon! (Maybe at the next sale?!) Sorry for suggesting that you might re-work some of your scenarios around the 6MT --- ignorance of all the work involved, I'm afraid. No, no --- I'll pick up the 2MT at a suitable point, and I'll look forward to running your 2MT scenarios then. Many thanks again. It will be good to get your new 3F scenarios in the meantime. Cheers! David

Hello David, with the Class 2MT you're missing a fantastic loco! The look, sound and feel of this machine is fabulous. It's definately one of my favorites. You should consider buying it (if possible for you). Reworking of the whole scenarios is a lot of work, as I would have to change AI-trains and static stock in each one. At the moment I rework my diesel scenarios for the Kirkcudbright-branch into steam-loco versions (mainly for the 3F). In the next days I will release them one after another. After that I'll take a look for further 6MT scenarios. All the best, Tob

Tob, I'm sorry, too, that you have used the 2MT in a number of scenarios, because I don't have the 2MT! So, if you could possibly re-produce some (or all?!) of these with the 6MT, that would be wonderful! And just think of all the very happy drivers there would be out there!!! :-D Kind regards, David.

Hello David, thank you for your kind words! :-) Hm, receiving all the good feedback for the Clan 6MT scenario I am a bit sorry that I used the 2MT in the scenario I released yesterday (Dumfries to Carlisle in winter). Could have been a good Clan-run, too.... There are so many good machines available, I sometimes just don't know which one I should use. :-D All the best! Tob
david.angus1977 16 Mar, 2015 @ 4:04pm
Hello again Tob --- I've run the whole scenario again (it's so worth it!) and succeeded in avoiding the emergency stops this time! So, pleased to have made it to Dumfries with a good margin of time. The Clan 6MT is a wonderful machine! I happily echo the plea by Ash below --- I sincerely hope there are more to come with the Clan! Thank you for all your hard work, and specially for incorporating a good amount of AI traffic and a nice variety, too. Kind regards, David.

Hello Paul, you have a few other AWS-friends here. :-D Always keep an eye on the HUD - if there is any signal or speed change (downwards) take care of the AWS-symbol when you are in approach of those "hot spots". Then heading out all the time should work. All the best, Tob

Hi Tob, just finished the Clan scenario.Enjoyable fast run but I too was caught out by the AWS before Annan, because I had my head out of the cab. Never mind, got re-started and made it to Dumphries at 09:43.
Another thumbs up rating from me.
Regards, Paul

Superb run, I also got caught out with AWS with my head out of cab, so ran it again and stayed in the cab this time. Enjoyed the run, hope there's more to come with the Clan. Thanks for sharing, cheers.
TobBirk  [author] 15 Mar, 2015 @ 1:46am
Hello David, thank you for your kind words! :-) The fact that the alerts can't be heard when heading out of the cab is a big, big disadvantage of TS - and it's also very unrealistic. Let's hope that Dovetail corrects this in the future. I'm glad you liked this scenario. All the best! Tob
david.angus1977 14 Mar, 2015 @ 6:18pm
An excellent run again, Tob. The 6MT is great to drive! Thank you so much for incorporating the 6MT in this scenario. Unfortunately, because I had my head out of the cab window, I missed the speed change warning a couple of times, resulting in an emergency stop --- which meant, of course, that I was a few seconds late at Dumfries and didn't complete correctly. Will just have to run it again! Thanks and cheers, David.

Thank you for your nice comments! The 6MT is a very interesting machine - huge and powerful. I'm glad that it's a MT-machine, so I can also use for freight runs in the future. :-) All the best, Tob

Very nice run, really enjoyed the 6MT Clan, we don't have many scenarios for this loco.
Good use of Steam AI to keep it interesting.
Thanks for this one.

Lovely scenario
