Yeah some of the textures can be a little funny. Pyrite is my personal pet peeve. I just got used to it. Half the time I'm just pointing a PAM brick at it anyway.

still working and been using this mod for years, only one complaint.. a few of the ores are hard to tell difference of say stone, like porphyry would be lovely in the future if you would add more colors to them or a way to make them pop a bit, but overall love the mod wont play se without it.
Mionikoi 26 May @ 10:37am
Would love to see this work alongside some of AceTech's stuff. Still getting use to this along with Industrial Overhaul. Surviving alright (until the drones get me). Thank you for everything you have done!

@KailIzzraham Hi, just saw this,
- I haven't made any changes to the mod in over a year -- nothing ore-related in I think multiple years
- AFAIK Keen hasn't added any new resources
- If it's just one resource Keen probably hasn't changed anything else that could be related
- Not seeing any other reports of Galena being broken for anyone else

Yes I'm guessing it's something to do with the compatibility patch.
KailIzzraham 29 Mar @ 2:26pm
@DranKof I messaged the maker of Better Resources and he was not sure if the patch for Better Stone and Better Resources had been updated lately. Could this be the reason that Galena no longer functions in game? When I rezzed in some Galena it was a round ball when dropped. It did not look like a boulder like all the other ores in game. Please let me know. I love using both mods together. Thanks. :)
Kaito 29 Mar @ 8:52am
My gut tells me the compat patch is doing something funny with the blueprints.
KailIzzraham 29 Mar @ 2:29am
@DranKof - I am not sure what my issue is, but for some reason I can not get Galena to go into any of the refineries (Basic, Regular or Industrial). I am using Better Resources, Better Stone and the patch for BR and BS to play nice with each other. Galena is the only one I am having problems with, and suggestions?

@wayneofwilson If we're talking about modding vanilla planets to have lava, then yes that sounds like FAQ item #2 -- planet definition mods are incompatible between mods. If you're referring to custom planets then I'm not sure this mod is causing the conflict.
wayneofwilson 10 Mar @ 4:50pm
It seems that this mod hates planet mods that add lava.
DranKof  [author] 7 Mar @ 4:47pm
Yes, I think I did that for a newline-related reason...maybe...can't recall...

@Шёпот ануса
Probably no more updates (unless fixing something that's very broken)
Gunner76th 5 Mar @ 11:31pm
Figured out the issue, there is an errant space in the name of the ores on this page in the list of what ores are under each name. Ingame it is (Fe,Ni) not (Fe, Ni)
Gunner76th 5 Mar @ 11:23pm
what is the registered name of the ores in the game? I am trying to use a script that controls my nanobot drill to seek out and find ores, however I cannot get it to locate any ores using the names listed on this page (with and without the prefix and suffix parts).

Hi
good work with mod - "Better Resources" ?
and "Space Engineers 2125" ?

ps - some mod in my mod pack(~55mods) crashed game
@DranKof Hi! Will there be more updates for the mod?

frank 30 Dec, 2024 @ 2:31pm
@tntingram88 if only people read the descriptions...
tntingram88 22 Dec, 2024 @ 3:10pm
Does this work with Industrial Overhaul?
PapaDarkz 8 Dec, 2024 @ 1:08pm
ore spawn can mine them but Refinery isn't accepting ores added it to the top of list still no change any way to fix this as really wanna keep it in my server
DranKof  [author] 23 Nov, 2024 @ 8:43am
Cool! Yeah, awesome work! Added a link into the "spinoff mods" section!
michi84o 18 Nov, 2024 @ 5:31pm
Done! That took way longer than expected. I hope I did this mod justice and didn't screw up the balancing. That linked Excel spreadsheet looks like a lot of work went into Better Stone.

Awesome, keep up the good work!!
michi84o 17 Nov, 2024 @ 12:48pm
@Tarax00 Redistributed Ore is not compatible with better stone but I will make a version that is. Better Stone is one of my favorites so I don't want to play without it. It will probably take a couple of days.
Tarax00 17 Nov, 2024 @ 6:50am
First - awesome mod, always use it on my servers. Keep up the good work.

I saw this mod trending and got curious: Redistributed Ore - 3364818519
Obviously there is some overlap, but do you think it is/will be compatible @DranKof?
FurtiveSage 19 Oct, 2024 @ 2:24pm
@Kaito Thank you. Placing it back!
Kaito 19 Oct, 2024 @ 1:45pm
Indeed, it works for me.
FurtiveSage 19 Oct, 2024 @ 10:52am
I had mod errors on with the new update. Does anyone have it working with the new update?
Kaito 15 Oct, 2024 @ 3:33am
Ore patches are fixed and known. Nothing is generated at runtime. You can actually swap ore mods in an existing game and it'll just move the patches around on the existing planets.
DranKof  [author] 15 Oct, 2024 @ 12:30am
This mod does not change the game's programmatic behavior, but I'm not sure what is generated nor saved when.

This mod, regarding ore placement, changes the depth values and which ore are which in planets and adds to the collection of the different kinds of ores that can spawn in asteroids. I hope that answers your question.
Kebable 14 Oct, 2024 @ 2:12pm
Short question I’m guessing this mod doesn’t generate the ore placement on the initial load and it’s all just preset. Is that correct?
DranKof  [author] 5 Oct, 2024 @ 5:35pm
Awesome!
WoBra 5 Oct, 2024 @ 12:57am
Oh, sorry forgot to delete the post. Wasn't that mod with the error.
DranKof  [author] 5 Oct, 2024 @ 12:15am
@WoBra Error messages don't cause lag. Those messages are SE saying once at the start, "Hi, I couldn't find custom textures with your ore definitions, so I'm just going to use the default ones." As long as you are not seeing bright magenta blobs, everything is working and any lag you're experiencing is coming from somewhere else.

@Unimpressed Kwakje Hi, sorry I haven't been around for a bit. While I think you would see multiple posts matching your reports but let me know if you still have the same issue if you start a brand new game with only this mod loaded and I'll load it up and see if I experience the same thing.

@Uneasyarcher Yes, thank you!
WoBra 2 Oct, 2024 @ 11:25am
over 60 error messages in the game from the mod. This causes the FPS to collapse completely after a while!
jetblade545 12 Sep, 2024 @ 8:05pm
Thank you Uneasyarcher!
Uneasyarcher 3 Sep, 2024 @ 4:14am
First jet blade
jetblade545 3 Sep, 2024 @ 2:20am
should this be first or last on the load order?
lorexcold 18 Aug, 2024 @ 10:17pm
We have an issue currently where we cant see any ore textures in the veins.
Mr Unclean 18 Aug, 2024 @ 3:29am
No matter what I do, I cannot seem to actually start a game with this mod and have the new resource types appear. Even when I ONLY select this mod, the planets will still have Magnesium,Silicon,Gold,... and none of the new resources..??

I have tried every single time with a new world / new game, did anyone else experience this? I am at a loss and I really don't like SE without this mod :D
DranKof  [author] 11 Jul, 2024 @ 2:57am
I'm not aware of how to interface with the actual code for the game to perform any data updates conditionally. This mod is currently just raw data files that get loaded in with the rest of the definitions. The easiest method I think would be for someone to find the blueprint definitions for this mod, update the refine rates, and save that as a new IO+BS compatibility mod.
Derpowsky 10 Jul, 2024 @ 1:58pm
@DranKof Yes, I meant the large vanilla refinery. It seems that IO alters small and large refineries so the common ores can be refined only in small and rare/precious only in large one (excluding some ores as they are refined in different machines). Which makes BS CM ores refine for eternity, even with 10x refinery speed... I think it would be great to increase CM ores refining speed if IO is present, of course if it is possible, as small refinery/arc furnace cannot be upgraded. Waiting like entire hour just for iron to be processed is... not funny.
DranKof  [author] 10 Jul, 2024 @ 12:24am
@Derpowsky By "big refinery" do you mean the large vanilla refineries? My guess is in order for IO to work in a particular way maybe the author made that refinery do something in particular, such as no longer process CM ores at all (i.e. leaving those exclusively to the CM-specialized refinery, for example, but just a theory) including vanilla, do the vanilla CM ores work with it? Otherwise I'm not too sure.
Derpowsky 9 Jul, 2024 @ 3:15pm
Hey, I've got a problem as I can't put CM ores into big Refinery, only accepted by basic one (I play with Industrial Overhaul and mod integration that lets IO ores spawn beside BS ores). The integration requires mod load order to be: integration -> BS -> IO. Any idea what's wrong?
DranKof  [author] 5 Jul, 2024 @ 8:08pm
@Downy This mod doesn't add any smelters, just more ores that happen to be compatible with other smelters from other mods.
@WorvernScar Thanks!
@Nylinth I can't remember for sure it's been years. When I last tried everything kind of worked as expected but there was a unique number that I had to go back in and add to make the costs scale more correctly with the actual expected values, so if there's ever any drift with that it may cause some mod ores to be too cheap or expensive I think maybe...
@Kaito Thanks so much for the explanations!
Mike Hunt 5 Jul, 2024 @ 3:28pm
Hey there guys I seem to have a hard time reading, understanding or seeing. I am having issues finding any smelter or the centrifuge in my block menu, any ideas or suggestions?
WorvernScar 26 Jun, 2024 @ 2:44pm
I have come to appreciate this mod greatly in survival. hunting down vanilla ore veins at the beginning is horrendous but this mod allows me to make progression through the tree to enable larger more automated processes
Nylinth 13 Jun, 2024 @ 5:57pm
Dumb question will this work with ore quest or will it replace them?
also will this mod generate on modded planets?
Kaito 13 Jun, 2024 @ 10:11am
The main thing with Isy and ores is that it doesn't understand what ores convert into what ingots. Which is not as simple with Better Stone anyway. What you can do is turn use conveyor off on refineries, tag them as Special, and set your own ore quotas. And just turn refinery handling off in Isy.
Chfiff 13 Jun, 2024 @ 8:11am
thank you @kaito . Any advice on similar mod that could be used instead of Isy's? (mainly for the refinery and assembler autocrafting thing)

Thanks
Kaito 12 Jun, 2024 @ 1:09pm
Isy's Inventory Manager does not understand modded ores and there's no way to fix that other than Isy adding that functionality on his end.
