There are some odd problems with the Water Source locations. Some supply water but others act like a vacuum. It's an odd bug you might want to fix.

Looks fantastic. Will there be a 81 tile version?

It's a great map, but make sure that you don't use it with the climate change mod turned on...

What I have done on this map is made one side where the natives live and the other side where the european colonists live. I'm in love with the place!

Nice map but main freeways arent good at all. After 40K population it gets high level traffic. Also water circulation is pretty weird. 7/10 I would say. Anyway, thanks from Georgia :georgia:

This map looks great with the Truly Tropical map theme and Clarity LUT.

I also downloaded a Bora Bora heightmap and built my own. Great idea!

@Morvau4
The only roads that can be used during the creation of the map are the highway and its outputs. Usually I enter the highway network as real ones (if it is possible), but in this case we are talking about an island with few buildable space and a great view. Use the highways would be really ugly and unseemly :)

I love the map, But i Hate the road connections. (they are all one way single lane.) Please give us the choice to use freeway if we would so choose. The interchange is outside of the editable area.

Looks assome

@Presumed Dead
Amazing! I'm glad you enjoyed my work :)

@Baleur
it took me several hours and lots of patience to diversify deeper depth of the seabed.

My map of 52k~ cims. http://i.imgur.com/ZQ0mE1I.png

The thin island is all residental and commerical. Having a horrible time getting my trains to balance where they drop their loads off.
Baleur 24 Mar, 2015 @ 5:16am
HOW did you do the shallow sand stuff under the water? Looks amazing :D

A new release of the map was published.

Building my city on the map, and reading some of your comments, I realized that there was some problems to be solved, especially with regard to the available resources.
So, I modified the availability of arable farmland decreasing vegetation in flatter areas close to the sea (thanks to Traveller).

Thank you all for the positive feedback!
Have fun: D

This looks absolutely gorgeous...I love the limited space, that's what's drawing me to play here. I think the resource placement is a big issue though. Every single flat place seems 100% covered by forest resource, and some slopes have farmland. The 'buy land' screen implies that there's a more farmland than I'm seeing, but I don't think it's there.

Too much forest isn't a totally good thing. I like to have some of my forest industry on a resource (resource gathering) and some of my forest industry not on the resource (processing), and if all of my forest tiles allow gathering, I don't have that much control. Also, that many trees might be excessive for its performance impact.

The arable farmland on slopes seems like a mistake, I spent quite a while (unsuccessfully) trying to fudge my roads to get buildable tiles on those slopes. Kill off some of the trees in flat areas, and put farmland there instead?

Other than that it looks great, the oil and ore are fine.

Are existing maps updated or do I need to start a new game on the map?
Pr0f4zok3  [author] 19 Mar, 2015 @ 9:16am
Thanks all for positive feedback.

In the new releas (v4) i added a rails connection adjacent to the highway at north (thanks TPangolin)

Have fun and thumbs up if you like my work
TPangolin 19 Mar, 2015 @ 6:46am
Great job man, the map looks great. The main issue however I feel is the lack of an outgoing Rail Connection alongside the fact that you start with Highway Ramps as your outgoing connections.
Adam 18 Mar, 2015 @ 8:58pm
Beautiful map man, absolutely beautiful.
Prester 18 Mar, 2015 @ 4:51pm
hi, i wanted to ask if i can take your map and edit it with more buildable space. it wont be borabora anymore but 26% is a bit less :-/
Pr0f4zok3  [author] 14 Mar, 2015 @ 4:11pm
@sbroadbent

I just released a new version corrected.
thanks man!
SBGaming 14 Mar, 2015 @ 1:47pm
I loaded up the map (with a mod to unlock all buyable tiles) and noticed two problems.

The first is that the highway at the top of the map, doesn't actually enter into the buildable area, so at the current moment it is impossible to connect road to it. You should probably extend that road a bit and make sure that it is accessible.

The second is a map glitch with the highway off ramp pieces leading into the buildable tile. One side of the highway

I've uploaded two images to my 'artwork' section on my Steam profile. Apparently the Steam Overlay isn't working for me, so I can't take ingame screenshots with steam and upload them through that method.
SBGaming 14 Mar, 2015 @ 1:10pm
This map looks interesting. I think I might use it for my coming Let's Play. Definitely looks like I'll want to have a mod that unlocks all 25 buyable tiles.

thank you!
yes, I used terrain.party for the heightmap, lots of patience and a few hours to recreate everything as accurately as possible.
OM3N1R 13 Mar, 2015 @ 11:14pm
This looks amazing. Great concept for a map! is it from terrain.party?
