Will be interested to see what you came up with, hopefully mine isn't too poor in comparison as I really didn't come up with many ways of avoiding the clearance issue just tanks to how wheels mount in SE. Cheers :)
Take a frame and connect it to the vehicle. most of the thrust for this section would be geared for Planet fall. so light maneuvering but loads of downward thrust. using Merge Blocks have an attached rear section that has the higher Manueverability and primary foreward thrust for space travel. this section woudl also have cargo space for resupplying the Colonists.
An alternative to the above would be modify the vehicle so that is has what the Landing Frame would be and use MErge blocks for Connecting. it could also "seal" if you build it right.
Please don't view this as promotion. I'm not and don't intend on getting popular in the SE community. I just think that if you showcased and implimented a successful ground suspension system, it could end a lot of people's frustration in building ground vehicles.
Thank you for reading.
Also, thumbs up to the extra footage of you building these things. I would love to see them in either your main videos or accompanying ones. If you do seperate them, just make sure they're both on the workshp. (:
geusse got make a race car now to drift with =)
I'd also be tempted to add thrusters on this, to make it space worthy :D Fly and take off and land and roll!
If you do give it a go I'd be interested to see what you come up with but please don't feel any pressure to do so, just if you want to :)
Excellent work you're doing with these things. So many original ideas. Seriously well done!
