Sorry for the wait, I updated the file. Thank you!

Ok so I've gone ahead and made a custom thumbnail and tooltip image for this. I've named the file exactly how your currently have it so no one will have issues who have already subscribed. I changed the main image to look exactly the same as you have it here only I added a +Custom Thumbnail in white text.

All you have to do is download the .crp file here...

Then to update, Subscribe to this intersection and open up Cities Skylines, go to the content manager then assets and find your intersection and click update. Then a popup should come up and there will be a tiny folder in the bottom right hand corner of the preview image. Open that folder, then open the content folder. There you will see your old .crp file. remove it to your desktop if you wish to save/back it up. Then place my new .crp file in that content folder. Now you can go ahead and click update and it will overwrite the file on the steamworkshop and everything will be good to go.

Quick note before doing the update though, make sure to copy the description on the workshop page first because the update will erase it, then you can just paste it back and save.

This should only take you literally less than 2 mins to complete.
Hope you will update this! Thanks :)

Ok! I will try to fix it soon.

Yea they added it with the recent patch. Now when you go to save at the bottom right hand there is an extra folder icon. You need to save a filename for "asset_tooltip.png" for the large preview image and "asset_thumb.png" for the thumbnail and overwrite the files in that folder. You'll see some other thumbnails files in there but if you overwrite the main file with your new thumb the rest will automatically change to use your new thumbnail.

Also there is still a problem with older assets that they are going to fix. Basically if you load your old asset you made before the update you can change the thumbs and sometimes not. For me I've had bad luck. Thanks to a modder though they solved my issue.

Basically with that mod you will get new buttons the properties panel, copy and paste... so what you do is create a new asset then click save. Put the thumb and tooltip images you want in the folder and don't save the new asset. Back out to the asset editor and click the copy on the properties panel and then load your old asset and click the paste button. Now you can save your old asset with updated thumbs. Be sure to add your main preview image for steam too though because I think that gets erased when you load your asset.

Did they add those in yet? Back when I made this thumbnail generation was screwy.

Hey, anyway you could update this with a preview thumbnail for the toolbar in game? Thanks :)

You basically keep it separate from the rest of the city's roads so that traffic does not affect the buses (and vice versa). If you have other stuff on it, it defeats the purpose of a bus-only road, which is to help alleviate traffic on your main grid. Brisbane, AU has this and that's where the original idea came from.

So "placing it where it needs to be" actually means not placing it on your main grid (though there's nothing stopping you from doing that, I recommend thinking out your public transit system very carefully so that you get the full benefit of the busway.)

What you can do to get the most out of it, is have it placed near metro stops and have the metro responsible for actually getting your cims to neighborhoods, since metro trains can't worsen traffic on your grid.

Where would I possibly place this? If it cannot be on the "main grid" where would it be? This just isn't a solution to the bus issue if it cannot really be placed where it needs to be.

Though I think traffic will keep to the inside lane while the bus stops on the side if you do decide to use this on your normal grid for whatever reason.

No, other traffic is not meant to use the busway roads. You are supposed to create a roadway that is not connected to the rest of the grid, specifically for buses (because the upkeep is lower than trains or metro, this can be a good way to save money when planning public mass transit!) The busway road will require just the bus depot and a fire station (so it doesn't burn down).

Ok so your saying the busses will pull into the far lane and other traffic will stay to the right because of the elevated pedestrian path? i like the idea and never though ot if.
