I mean, not to be late to the party, but in 2023 it still works for me just fine.
The number of times an exposed H-Tank goes boom with a tiny tap is ridiculous. It feels like an equation:
If Tank is hit And Tank is >50% full Then BOOOM :)
So at this moment you may consider this as weird anomaly that happens only in my universe and I will continue looking into the matter while I play more normally and inform you if I get to replicate the original not responding activation areas or what ever they are called :)
Hello again, I've tested what will happen if You change the inventory size so, the actual cargo volume will be higher then max capacity. It will only remove the last item, which is above the max capacity. And if You change the map setting to Creative, the item will be back again. So You can move it elsewhere and change the setting back to Survival.
There is no obstacle to fix large Large Armored Container Inventory size to 7,5x7,5x7,5 :-)
Maybe one little suggestion:
Small grid Large Armored Container has Computer component as the last in the build list. One hit and the container is damaged and will not work. Can You please move some Steel Plates in the order above Computers to protect them? Thanks :-)
Tested only the large big ship container so far.
Using conveyor works fine though.
(a.e. Inventory size: 2,5 x 2,5 x 2,5 - if that is meant^^ read it first time like 2, 5x2, ... :D)
Really depends on how armored you want to consider the container.
I think the cost for large Container (large Ship) for example could be way higher. Steelplates could be 1500-2000 for example, where the other ingredients would also scale accordingly.
Why so expensive? I think your Cargos are one of the late-game-blocks. Something you upgrade your vanilla large Cargos after youre basically swimming in resources. The Large Refinery-mod I like to use does it just like that: The machine is huge and it takes - i believe - around 8000 Steelplates. You can imagine it is quite efficient at in what it does, though, and helps keeping oversight in the inventories as it replaces 5 regular Refineries.
On a little sidenote - I also think a bit of detail on the sides, instead of just flat surfaces, would also do good :)

this mod and that would work well, but if would not be balanced if i use both due to improved cap and Armor.
As BioMech already noted you might notice Vanilla Large Container model take up less space than actual 7,5m3 volume. the space it doesn't take is enough for steel plating being put there at least once or even twice. i see no actual need to nerf their capacity, only thing i can suggest is replacing most interior plates with steel plates cause there is no decorative side in your containers which means there is no need for excessive amounts of decorative components such as interior plate
The container would hold less if the same size to compensate for the added armor, or it would be larger but the same storage cap.
I've talked about your Armored containers. In description of Large one is written: "Inventory Size: 7,75x7,75x7,75" but its size is actually 7,5mx7,5mx7,5m.
By the way, i really dont understand, why devs haven't fix the cargo volume yet..
is it possible for it to blend with vanilla armor texture?
Does the medium containor have large ports? Or would that compromise the armor of that side.
If large ports are possible, would you arange the pots so there are 3 large and 3 small ports on the medium container?
Big thumbs up from me to you again.
