Or, tl;dr - Open X Rebirth and go to the Extensions menu. For the Exploration Light, click the Subscribe so that it says "Subscribed: No". Close the game and make sure you are also unsubscribed in Steam. Afterwards, delete the mod folder from your game directory if it still exists. It may be called exploration_light or possible ws_408459548.
The mod removal process can be a bit glitchy for their game. Couldn't tell you why.
Warms my heart to see people enjoying the mod, still. We're in total agreement, as well! Too often are flashlights and similar short enough in range that by the time the area is illuminated... we're already crashed into it.
I've also updated the compatibility note as it is STILL compatible up to and including the latest 3.60b4 patch.
Click Subscribe on any mod, for Steam Workshop. Steam will automatically download and install the latest version of the mod and the game will automatically use it upon launching. No additional configuration or interaction required. The mod will automatically update to the latest version whenever there is a new release.
If you want to disable or unsubscribe from a mod, within the game you can go to the Extensions section on the main menu and manage each mod individually. Be sure to unsubscribe/remove the mod from within the game before unsubscribing on Steam (it should happen automatically).
It's automagic!
A very uncommon error, unrelated to the modification itself but rather a flaw in Workshop. To avoid this in the future: uninstall a modification from within X Rebirth first before unsubscribing in the Workshop
This should fix things:
1. Open X Rebirth, go to Extensions and select Exploration Light
2 a. If there is an option to Subscribe choose No and then exit XR
2 b. If there is an option to Enable choose No and then exit XR
2 c. If there are two Exploration Light apply 2a and 2b to both
3. After the above steps, right-click X Rebirth in your Steam Library and chose "Properties". Then, go to the "Local Files" tab and click the "Browse Local Files" button
4. Delete the folder "exploration_light" and if there is a folder named "ws_408459548" delete this folder as well
5. Finally, make sure Steam shows that Exploration Light is unsubscribed. If so, feel free to subscribe again!
How to fix??
Ich verstehe, das Licht ist zu hell für Sie. Es gibt eine Lösung, vielleicht
1. Gehen Sie zu: https://github.com/NodusCursorius/Exploration_Light
2. Klicken Sie auf "Download Zip" - Beispiel: http://i.imgur.com/8a2iSrA.png
3. Abbestellen "Exploration Light" in Steam
4. Löschen Sie den Ordner "exploration_light" in "X Rebirth\extensions\"
5. Entpacken Sie die Zip "Exploration_Light-master.zip" bis "X Rebirth\extensions\"
6. Bearbeiten "Exploration_Light-master\assets\units\player\unit_player_ship.xml"
7. Geben Sie in der Zeile, verringern Sie die "2" Nummer
<replace sel="/components/component[@name='unit_player_ship']/layers/layer/lights/spot[@name='XU Spot01']/@intensity">2</replace>
Viel Glück! Ich genieße das helle Licht als Standard
