@gbuck70 - For a LUT I created for myself and posted to the workshop just for the heck of it, I am humbled to still receive comments like yours from time to time. I'm absolutely thrilled this LUT has been used by so many people and I am genuinely glad to have enhanced your C:S experience in some small way! Thank you so much! :steamhappy:

This is one of the oldest LUTs on the workshop, but it is still the reigning undisputed champion of "Most Popular All Time" LUT in the Steam workshop. And for good reason. There is just something about this LUT that makes city building so much more enjoyable. Everything is nice and bright, the colors pop, and the city just feels like a fun place to be. There are no gloomy, rainy days, and it feels like a nice day to go visit a park. I always have this LUT enabled along with the "Daylight Classic" mod by BloodyPenguin when building. I only switch things up a bit if I want to grab a screenshot or something to make the city look a little drab or a little whatever it's called when you look at an old photograph. Then 99% of the time, I flip right back to good old "Clear and Bright" :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

Thank you, Tom. I'm using this with Natural Beauty by Turtle. It's the perfect marriage.

So, like so many others I have tried I have no idea how many LUT's and you have pretty much captured everything I was looking for. Clarity for one! And while I did not like the OMG BLIND ME brightness I also have had issues with finding a good balance of the darkness sometimes with Daylight Classic and other themes no matter what I try to do manually and you did that so thank you very much. I did have to tone it a smidge as the lighter greens were still a bit in my face but it is perfect otherwise! WOOHOO! THANK YOU!

I believe this to be the best LUT on the workshop. Thank You! I also do not use daylight classic and optioned not to subscribe to it. I use your LUT with Cleyra map theme and found the Cleyra LUT to be way too bright for my taste. Your LUT is perfect with the Cleyra theme in my opinion.
chirgy from chaturbate 12 Apr, 2019 @ 10:48pm
Congratulations- you've managed to increase the brightness 25%

Like Mazisky, I've tried a lot of Luts, and like Mazisky I think you created the best. And exactly what I was looking for : both colorful and realistic. A very nice balance. Thank you !
Scotland Tom  [author] 5 Mar, 2019 @ 10:55am
@mazisky - Awesome! Glad you're enjoying it!
Mazisky 4 Mar, 2019 @ 12:57pm
I've tried like 100+ Luts and this is the best i've tried.
It's the perfect balance between too realistic and flat and too cartoony and colorful.
I use it without daylight classic tho.
Scotland Tom  [author] 5 Oct, 2018 @ 1:44pm
@BloodyPenguin - I went ahead and added Daylight Classic as a dependency and altered the description accordingly. Hopefully that should steer folks in the right direction :)
Scotland Tom  [author] 5 Oct, 2018 @ 1:31pm
@BloodyPenguin - Of course you're right! I love this game, but just haven't had time to keep up with it the past two years. Completely forgot about Daylight Classic! I will update my update. Thanks for the reminder and for all you do for the Skylines community!
BloodyPenguin 5 Oct, 2018 @ 1:18pm
@Scotland Tom Daylight Classic mod still allows to use this LUT without any color problems :)
Xevion 29 Sep, 2018 @ 2:55pm
I cannot see with this Color Correction on. It is incredibly dark for me. I have the light intensity for my cursor turned up and... Yeah nothing is "visible" or "playably visible".
WalrusInAnus 18 Jun, 2018 @ 12:46pm
Have you thought about doing a refresh? :)
Scotland Tom  [author] 18 Jun, 2018 @ 7:44am
@WalrusInAnus - You are correct. I don't think it looks terribly good since the release of After Dark. I mostly keep it up as kind of a legacy thing, just in case people who already have it in their mod collection still want to use it for some reason.
WalrusInAnus 15 Jun, 2018 @ 5:33am
Doesn't look too good at night :( Everything is a lot darker. I guess it was made before After Dark.
BloodyPenguin 26 Mar, 2018 @ 12:30pm
@user It's a LUT, it can't conflict with anything. And just FYI, I specifically made Daylight Classic because I played (and still play) with that LUT :)
user 20 Jan, 2018 @ 3:44pm
Works with: Dynamic Resolution and Daylight Classic?
Deathcore 18 May, 2017 @ 2:29pm
i just dont understand how to turn on LUTs and what its actually are. what difference between LUT and Theme and Lightcorrecting
Icreaka 23 Mar, 2017 @ 1:22pm
Thanks, game looks MUCH better :steamhappy:
benzoll 22 Oct, 2016 @ 3:44am
Great LUT.
Kyrion 24 Sep, 2016 @ 6:09am
I had this working, and then it disappeared. I de-subbed, re-subbed, and still nothing.
Scotland Tom  [author] 30 Aug, 2016 @ 10:39am
@Sam - This actually isn't a map, it's a color correction LUT that will show up in the drop down list of color corrections in your graphics options.
Zaughtilo 28 Aug, 2016 @ 9:23am
Hi, I'm having an issue. I downloaded the map, but it is not in the Content Mananger or available at map select when creating a new game. I tried both this version and Elias's reup, but neither worked. All your other maps are available to choose, but not this one?
Scotland Tom  [author] 25 Aug, 2016 @ 12:43pm
@Elias
Sounds good! Thanks again for keeping it up. I don't know why it got set to hidden in the first place (at least I don't remember doing it myself), but I'll keep an eye out so that it doesn't happen again.
Elias 24 Aug, 2016 @ 1:45pm
@scotland tom
thanx for your nice comment. i will leave my reup-version of clear and bright in the workshop to not irritate some subscribers who are not very familiar with the workshop (hidden assets), but will add a link to your original version.
WTRMN 8 Mar, 2016 @ 1:58pm
I don't notice it working for me either on 8th March 2016
BagginsF 5 Mar, 2016 @ 8:57pm
It doesn't work to me. What can I do?
Captain Soap 22 Feb, 2016 @ 12:21pm
How do i enable this LUT?
If i just switch it in the content menu to on, it won't work!

It's a simple change but it really amkes all the difference with how the game feels. I love it.

Scotland Tom  [author] 29 Jun, 2015 @ 5:09am
@ BLÀde - I have found that LUTs can look quite different when playing on different map types. This one looks different between the Tropical and Temperate map types, for instance. That might be a possibility as to why things appear darker for you. I find this LUT works best for Temperate and Boreal maps.
BLÀde 22 Jun, 2015 @ 7:29am
this does the opposite for me it makes everything darker
Scotland Tom  [author] 10 Jun, 2015 @ 7:03am
Glad you guys are all enjoying the LUT! Thanks for the compliments!
Зарастроика 7 Jun, 2015 @ 7:59pm
It amazes me the difference this LUT make, when I see the comparing pics· Makes Cities: Skylines looks cheerful and fine with life as SimCity· 😊

One of the few things SimCity did it right was this bright, vivid feel· 😇

Brilliant!
