You guys who are saying its fine how have you found it after 10 or more game years? Are they still filling up or are they starting to empty?. I would rather 85% fill up than get a hundred percent and then in 15 years it goes down to 67% ie 2/3rds

I updated the mod to cover all the current building list range (49152 buildings max instead of the old 32768), and also made it start adding at a bit higher priority. Let me know if that improves the situation any.

Correction i believe something is now wrong with this mod since the last update i just lost over a thousand citizens too quickly for no reason. Whether its also the employ educated citizens also no longer functioning as intended i'm not sure but please inspect your mod because my buildings which were great before with 150 out of 150 houses used in my rico residential now mainly has 135 in each of those buildings.

Alot of the game limits did go up like path & citizen units/occupancies but they still cant lift the citizen agent instances. Maybe the buildings went up too. I've got as many of them lifted as i can albeit tree or prop limits. Just the nodes for roads and citizen instances which i'm on 94% now but im told once it hits 100% it wont visually add more cims to be seen but it doesn't mean the buildings will just become empty as that's the citizen units department and that was lifted. I'm in Australian and naturally using LHT which means we were one of the 68 countries that got ignored in the recent roads & vehicles dlc where all the new buses are invisible for LHT but i dont know if thats affecting your mod. Garbage trucks aren't registering on the stats of the pedestrian service points even though i see them stopping there & taking trash but it doesnt register. Maybe mod conflict but its more likely skylines are rushing out their dlcs with huge errors as stated before skylines 2.

I'm using 'transfer controller' where you can designate every specialized I: EX to pro then to which generic I & then to C. I think its the more beta one but i like it cause i thought the transfer manager only did districts rather than individual building designations. Anyway FillHouses mod is always the same: thousands started to move in and now thousands moving out. If i dare remove this mod now i may lose more as mod is still searching for employment & if i provide enough jobs which i am doing more than enough by getting those recent skyscrapers and rico them to office 3 with 400 educated workers and about 20 well educated ones and either 1 or 2 of the poorly educated ones in each office, then your mod should still work. However I have also removed cars from some very busy roads with TRAFFIC manager where buses & trucks should have top priority over tourists or even residents who can just take the bus. Maybe the well educated rich snobs moved out because they had to take the bus.

Unfortunately I can't make it super forceful without breaking how the game works.
Essentially all citizens move between buildings and onto and off of the map via a series of transfer requests put into the transfer manager. Based on priority and space in the queues, requests can either be completed, just sit there, or not even get added. This mod just cycles through sets of 128 buildings every simulation tick and if any are residential with an empty slot it puts in some new requests with priorities based on how many vacancies, unemployment, and happiness levels of the residents. I think they may have bumped up the max number of buildings from 32k to 49k at some point in the last 6 years, so if there are residential buildings in that range of ids I don't think I will end up checking those. I'm also not sure if they've made any updates to how the transfer manager works, I'll look into it a bit more when I have time and see if there's something going on there.

Yes broken again. Cant you mod this so the problem doesn't keep returning like it always did before you even updated this? Its a great idea but doesn't sustain. Love to know what code you are changing with the game because why does skylines have that stupid 80% occupancy anomaly as you say is there a reason for it? Do we need employ educated workers to go with this or something???

Seems to be broken again after the last update. I am seeing a consistent 20% gap in households in the entire city with a population drain. with a huge demand for residential but the households are not being filled.

They changed the Building Notification Problem enum to Problem1 and created a Problem2 for some more issues a building can have. I was referencing that to make sure the mod doesn't try to force move-ins on abandoned buildings, etc.
I haven't played the game for a long time, but it looks like a lot of you still use this mod so I looked into it and made a quick fix in between deploying other things for work.

it was irtating because in my city I had 40000 household and 7000 were empty, now all 40000 are used and population had grown from 105k to 125k :)

OK THIS IS OFFICIALLY BROKEN. After 3 years and its still Fu####! If it doesn't increase the population then its bloody broken. I checked my city limits and its 20k more than what my bs population meter says at the bottom. The good thing was it brought down my citizen instances as I was at 55 pretty close to the 65K mark limit and it went down to 38k. What ever its doing its giving false stats. Maybe its imprisoning them in their houses like some ugly covid lockdown but they aren't moving around the city hence citizen incidences dropping greatly. Pointless I don't know why some other odder just cant look at his notes if he made any as i looked and his notes are obsolete and then Nosferatu says to discuss his obsolete notes! Pathetic!

For me it still work but everytime I load the game for the first time. it crashed and it would work on the second load. Also I think it would be handy to know exactly what the "when unemployment is low and happiness is high" really mean in numbers.

uhh... it worked, but not as intended. Sure, population increased from 52k to 56k, but it stayed there. I still have 18500/22500 household count. unemployment is at %4. And there are tons of available workspaces.

My population went from 389k to 516k in about an hour or so. Luckily I had too much commercial and industrial jobs to fill so unemloyment remained the same at 1%. But now my pop is dropping, already down 25k. I hope this mod is not a one time population surge.
