I mentioned this a long time ago and it got buried. This mod was moved to another file because the file ingame stopped being updatable from some weird workshop bug. The new file is at least updatable. Please change to the new file at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=448505248 . The reason I don't want to hide this file is because too many people use it.

cabbages5 19 Oct, 2015 @ 5:37pm

Kubark, In Memory of Laika 8 Oct, 2015 @ 12:25am

Slick 5 Oct, 2015 @ 4:55am
The asset itself is gone after the update but there's still some zoned space and i can't remove this.

After new updates this seems to have a broken highway linkage embedded and the associated icon now appears ON NEWLY PLACED LINES
r1st1c 28 Sep, 2015 @ 11:10am
when placed its showing unconnected one way roads sign

It's strange, it would seem to be related with something with a stat or something with the building. This version of the asset is no longer updated, but I think I might have fixed it for the recent version. I'll see if I can upload it later today.

@OooliticBioBigMac The popups are annoying and it doesn't seem to be a problem only with this asset. It seems like every asset that is freeplaced (even some in the game) have this problem. I hope CO can get rid of the popups for these buildings, because I don't really see a useful need for it.
BoringBioBigMac 25 Sep, 2015 @ 8:55pm
The last update seems to have cause a bug requiring the cables be placed close to a road or else they will display a large not connect by road icon. Would love to have a fix since I use this asset very often.

how does the electricity even connect between them? do you just need to have 50 of them in a line to connect the power??
The Reign 8 Sep, 2015 @ 1:55pm
not working, and its not in the mod tab -_-
Edgar 25 Aug, 2015 @ 3:32pm
its not operating
SkyNet 19 Aug, 2015 @ 2:02am
where to find it?
Dardhaz 21 Jul, 2015 @ 11:36am
Works great, thanks!
Like someone already pointed out, it'd be even better if they worked underwater, as well, but for me, that's a minor issue.
Nozerone 2 Jul, 2015 @ 4:57pm
@TheJRaph same way you download every other mod. With magic of course!
Nozerone 2 Jul, 2015 @ 4:56pm
@Liammorningstar The point is so you can connect buildings that currently aren't touching a powered area. With out this mod, you have to put up the power poles, and anything along the line of power lines can't be zoned. So you have to wait for buildings to become connected, then you can destroy the power lines and zone that space. Some spaces already have a small 1X1 building, and if you want the land to be more valuable, you have to destroy that building so something better can be built. This will let you pretty much bypass those small issues, so it's one less then you have to deal with.
The JRaph 26 Jun, 2015 @ 5:03pm
how do you download this mod?
Das_Morgenstern 22 Jun, 2015 @ 6:46am
whats the point of this your buildings share power already
Sol 22 Jun, 2015 @ 4:55am
Tooltip icon yet?
6puritans9 22 Jun, 2015 @ 3:02am
Just what I was looking for. Great!
tupe12342 21 Jun, 2015 @ 8:27am
This is a mod I highly recommened, its a bit more expansive then the normal electric towers, but you save so much space
warren.piss 8 Jun, 2015 @ 12:43am
cant be built on water :(
Lot Creator  [author] 23 May, 2015 @ 12:42pm
If you are still having problems while using this mod, try downloading an repackaged version of this mod at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=447865711 . It is now updated with icon and should probably work on 1.1. Please tell me if it fails. (An additional note, updating this mod is hard for me to do since Steam workshop, Asset manager, and everything in between created some problems and made it very hard for me to update, well it says I never made the mod and I can't for some reason update it. Just move to the 2.3 version if this version doesn't work. I'll work on rushing the model for this one and such, hopefully the same bug that happened with this one doesn't appear again.)
Lot Creator  [author] 23 May, 2015 @ 11:23am
Hmm, I've not checked the new Skylines version lately. I'll have to see if I can update the building.
Yisron 22 May, 2015 @ 11:40pm
It doesn't seem to.
TelMan 21 May, 2015 @ 5:01am
Does this work for new version that has just been released?
Ǥɾᴧᴤʆᴧᵯᴧ 6 May, 2015 @ 8:33am
yep, i do like it! :) but i would like underwater cables too or a solution for waterways or lakes.
NotTheMama 29 Apr, 2015 @ 7:27am
Great mod ,
please dont make them produce power they are supposed to replace powerlines and powerlines dont produce power XD
YamiNoMizu 27 Apr, 2015 @ 10:01am
Great mod!
Lot Creator  [author] 14 Apr, 2015 @ 6:25am
@BLÀde That would be my fault, when one imports the model the program makes an icon out of the model. Apparently it failed on the model with this one so it's blank. I am not sure I can do much about it since I have to reimport the building into the lot. I am probably going to try to scale down the lot since I've been getting requests to shrink it down and the cost of mantainance. Well, that's all for now.
Kirito 14 Apr, 2015 @ 12:11am
Thank you! \(^_^)/
It works as expected. No weird or unexpected behaviour (^_^)b
BLÀde 13 Apr, 2015 @ 11:25pm
works great now but it has no icon in the build panel it's just blank?
Lot Creator  [author] 13 Apr, 2015 @ 3:23pm
I can't do anything about the grid part, this is because that is concerned with the game engine and how it handles power through lots, you could plop the same way several coal plants and shut them off and it will still pass power. On the concern of price, Next update, though I had a problem on updating this same mod eariler today, so not in the mood of undergoing the same experience today.
NZ_Wanderer 13 Apr, 2015 @ 3:05pm
Nice mod, although I am a little confused :) - I laid several out and they seem to be working fine, however, when I turn them off nothing happens, my city doesn'y go dark or anything..
Also re the pricing of upkeep, it does seem a little high considering the upkeep of those huge pylons :)
Lot Creator  [author] 13 Apr, 2015 @ 12:46pm
I updated the file to remove the noise. While I did did this, ran into several inconveniences, so I am asking you guys if the mod is still in working condition. While I can see it and it works like it used to here I can't tell if it still does on your side. Thanks.
Kirito 13 Apr, 2015 @ 11:21am
Would it be possible to reduce the noise pollution radius? It's a little bit too much.
Except some buzzing, these things generally operate almost silently.
Bagi 12 Apr, 2015 @ 8:39pm
The developers of this game were clearly idiots or severely rushed when(as with many many other things) they decided that five story powerlines was the only way cities transfer electricity; so even with all the caveats this is a great mod that certainly helps.
BLÀde 12 Apr, 2015 @ 3:54am
the noise pollution these create is ridiculous seems pointless to use them.
longbaugh01 7 Apr, 2015 @ 9:37pm
These should really have a cheaper upkeep considering the power lines in the game have an upkeep of what? $0.40? So these are power cables that have been dug less than 10 feet into the ground and then have surface equipment in a metal box, but have 20 times the upkeep of giant steel towers with more element resistant (i.e. heavier) lines that have to be strung between them. Ok.
Lot Creator  [author] 3 Apr, 2015 @ 6:38am
For those that don't know, the powered building is out. Grab yours today here. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=417470529

Ohh can't wait to test this out!
Macronomicus 29 Mar, 2015 @ 2:27pm
Ahh sweet, you beat me to it, I was going to make this. One extra bit to consider adding is 'underground power-lines' that can connect to these Electricity Hubs, now that would be uber realistic.
Lot Creator  [author] 27 Mar, 2015 @ 5:36pm
While I can upload it on Simtropolis, I do not want to do so for personal reasons.
Silfx 27 Mar, 2015 @ 4:49pm
Any possibility to add a direct download link, not true the steam workshop? It is not working on linux and I suspect not on mac OS either.
Lot Creator  [author] 27 Mar, 2015 @ 4:37pm

White Out 27 Mar, 2015 @ 2:49pm
Really enjoy the mod... one thing that would make it 5 star for me is by being able to see the range for connecting to other underground cable buildings before you plop
Lot Creator  [author] 26 Mar, 2015 @ 6:08am
I don't plan on making this particular model powered. I am currently working on a separate transformer/generator for that. So don't worry guys.
