That was not meant for "this" kind of Eras-Driven (of gameplay details) concept -- created nearly three years ago, btw!

Vox Populi doesn't change eras, but it does change many other aspects including civ details, technology tree and game concepts. Should this technically just pull the new information from civilopedia and output without problems?

I see, well thanks for quick answer :)

Sadly.. this would certainly interfere with their own assets (or specific custom details) for Eras & most likely add pointless references to pure Civ5 elements.

If they'd be willing to design a similar device for their Mod.. i wish them luck and shall also recommend a VERY close inspection of our code (with its required resources) but we're not supporting other's "product". Ours is simply fully compatible with Civ5.. so we don't have any intentions to develop it further or to "work" for anyone else -- so to speak! :)

Thus -- i'd suggest contacting them, you may get lucky.

Does this work with Superpowers Clash of Civilizations? probably not, but would be awesome... Is it possible to create a mod that works with superpowers?
Zyxpsilon  [author] 9 May, 2017 @ 8:18am
Since i don't use that "major" MOD.. i wouldn't know but they could work well together as is. The only thing my stuff does is adding new popup screens.

Okay. Thanks for letting me know.

Can't speak for Nutzzz, but i've been working on many other things (XCom+LW+2, etc) for nearly two years now. I doubt we'll ever return to this mod and since Civ6 has been released we might decide to create a similar version.. no formal promises though.
Bored_EM 7 Jan, 2017 @ 7:11am
Have you guys abandoned this project or are you working on something else?
Zyxpsilon  [author] 10 May, 2015 @ 1:21pm
That would be a little hard since Nutzzz is still under the planning LUA code phases (i think) while the tiny feature (specific to EUI icon support) doesn't really justify a complete Update version. Be patient... but, we're sorry for the delays - modding is a task that involves care & rational decisions.

Hey Zyxpsilon. Thanks for implementing my suggestion for enhancing compatibility with EUI. Is there any chance you push out a minor update with just that feature included, while we're waiting for the Era Center to be finished?
Zyxpsilon  [author] 25 Apr, 2015 @ 12:24am
zArkham4269... No idea! There might be some "flaws" in your installation of either our Mod or Civ5 itself somehow though.

Thanks Arthur!

So pretty. :tlove:
zArkham4269 21 Apr, 2015 @ 3:38pm
What type of mods might conflict with this? In my current game I get not indication I''ve chagned eras. There is an era tool tip in the pull down but it doesn't do anything.
Zyxpsilon  [author] 11 Apr, 2015 @ 10:09pm
Thanks! ;)
Amom 11 Apr, 2015 @ 12:53pm
Muchas gracias por este fabuloso mod.
Zyxpsilon  [author] 29 Mar, 2015 @ 11:02am
Sorry, just can't add some "external" Download-Link(s). This has more to do with validating the install process via Steam than anything.
lololaurens 29 Mar, 2015 @ 4:26am
Can you please add a download link.
Zyxpsilon  [author] 25 Mar, 2015 @ 9:59pm
Richard, with some direct and easy hints from bc1... i was able to integrate the custom DC45_EraPopups.DDS icons file straight into the LUA code. Dunno when, but this extra feature will have to wait for the next version which i truly hope should also provide a sample "working" copy of the Era-Center (code-name:detail) concept. Be patient!
Richard 23 Mar, 2015 @ 5:12am
Thanks Zyxpsilon!
Zyxpsilon  [author] 22 Mar, 2015 @ 8:56pm
Richard, I gave it all a fair try but the NotificationPanel.LUA code isn't responding correctly to some custom edits. So a much easier way would be to simply ask bc1 to provide direct support for my mod. I just wrote that request in his thread. Cross-Fingers he'll agree to integrate that "DC45_EraPopups.DDS" icon set to replace the generic processing. :)
We'll see.
Zyxpsilon  [author] 22 Mar, 2015 @ 7:16pm
But... if you actually mean a properly dedicated button (45x45 Icon with my "Wheely" design) -- i'd have to ask people to edit their own DiploCorner.xml file (from the EUI folders) while supplying the custom Icon for it. Please visit the thread @CivFanatics.com in the next few days where i'll explain how in details and supply that necessary Icon.
Zyxpsilon  [author] 22 Mar, 2015 @ 7:01pm
Thanks to you two!
EUI already creates a generic button (double-arrows symbol) for ZN-Era... its shortcut name is "Era". There's also another quick way to access the Color-Wheel Menu for these, right-clicking on either the Turns or Date on the top right banner row.
And yes... i'm the guy that created each of these custom buttons for him. ;)

Cool beans c:

Great work Zyxpsilon. Thanks for this! Its one of those little features that just enhances gameplay that few would have thought about before.

Would it be possible for you to make it fully compatible with EUI by adding the new Eras button to the top-right panel buttons in the EUI mod? I believe you contributed those buttons already to the EUI mod?
Zyxpsilon  [author] 20 Mar, 2015 @ 2:43pm
Glad you're enjoying it! Creativity is such a mind blast that while playing Civ5... even just me feels somehow excited when any new eras are about to start. ;)
mattwho 20 Mar, 2015 @ 10:09am
Love it. It's these small, creative things which can really make a game more satisfying :P
Zyxpsilon  [author] 19 Mar, 2015 @ 11:34am
1) Thanks satdanov...

2) zArkham4269, There are already some code provisions in this mod to accomodate most "external mods" which would try to add anything to the various default features and items. For example, the Unique-Units that a few Civilizations get are correctly inserted and a tiny (*) is being shown on the Units Pod-Circle aside from the total number.
Thus... our code actually scans any related (or custom) files at run-time while adding whatever should to the proper stack(s).
We made every attempts to make "ZN-Era Popups" as much compatible with other mods as possible... but we just can't guess which or what extra "codes" created by someone else could interfere with our own stuff. I doubt much conflicts would creep up though.
So -- rest assured, you're in good hands while scanning for Info & Data on these screens!! ;)
zArkham4269 19 Mar, 2015 @ 9:32am
The biggest question is what mods would conflict with this? I tend to play with many which alter the Social Policy tree and others which alter the later techs a bit.

All I can say is beautiful.
