I think you've made a parclo that left hand drive can actually use. Wow, thanks for the work.

Great Interchange! Thank you very much, your interchanges are awsome! Amazing work!

I don't know how to use it

Oops, sorry for never getting back to you, just reinstalled and shopping around for junctions again and I saw I commented on this.

@Dr. Funkenstein: I've have noticed that when making intersections with very sharp angles, they sometimes end up with graphical glitches, such as terrain clipping through the road, which is easily fixed with some terraforming. However, I haven't encountered your issue before. Is the interchange actually functional, i.e. cars can travel on these overlapping roads? If not, I'm not sure what is the cause of this.

BTW, I'm not making any promises that I'm actually going to make anything, since I haven't really been in the interchange mood for quite some time, but requests and suggestions are always welcomed. It's always interesting to see what suggestions people have, and service interchanges are on the top of my list when I resume interchange construction :D

Timboh, not sure whether it was just my placement but the service roads top left and bottom right, some of the roads feeding into them seem to be stacked on top of one another but not actually joining.

More generally, after being chastised for using cloverleafs I've switched to using your interchanges, they've improved the look of my cities so much, great work.

Also if you are taking requests, some more service road interchanges would be great.

@JarutheDamaja: Sorry, my mistake. I'll fix it as soon as I can. Thanks for pointing it out! :D
JarutheDamaja 7 Nov, 2015 @ 4:20pm
I just noticed that there is one little road which isn't 2 lanes in one direction.
It's where it comes from the 4 lanes-road.
So i'm not sure but i guess there is a little mistake happened:) because on the other side it's not.
I thought maybe you wanna know and i can't upgrade the street because other conjuntion is coming in the way:) sry for my english.

Oh and i love to read your Assets-Descriptions - there awesome!
And of course thanks for making all that stuff public.

@Kilo-Lima-Nine-Six: You're really good at spotting "vehicle paths", good job! Actually, after looking at this myself, I saw there's actually another way to make a U-turn, so you're correct that it isn't impossible to happen. However, I normally don't take U-turns into consideration, because vehicles making U-turns is mostly considered an error in vehicle pathing. It's difficult to explain what I mean, but if traffic tries to make U-turn through an interchange, it's mostly a sign that you're missing a motorway entrance at another location, forcing traffic to travel in the opposite of their desired direction. This doesn't apply to non-motorways, though. But hey, that's just how I make my cities, and I love to see others come up with great road solutions, just like you did. Cheers! :D

Part 2:
It may be a very long, convaluted way of saying make a pretzel U-turn, but I struggle to understand intersections usually, and actually being able to spot a problem and the solution to it is a big thing for me (I have learning difficulties) so I just wanted to explain it properly. If there's anyone that would be able to make this junction with the above written improvements and release it onto Steam, I'd really appreciate it because I SUCK at making Assets.

If you notice, it's not totally impossible for a left hand turn to happen. If a driver wanted to make a U-turn, they would be forced to go straight over the first lane of traffic coming from the left, and then make a left turn, drive over the bridge, make a 270 degree turn, and then drive through another junction. If you were to include a shorter U-turn method, it would increase this roads capacity as there would be no left turns needed. A 270 degree right turning slip lane into a slip lane flyover, into another 270 degree right turning descending partial helix would be a way of improving upon this already good junction.

Oh cool, I have one of these in my (real life) town.

Thanks so much. This is axactly what I was looking for, as I want a motorway running through the centre of my city that splits of each side into ordinary roads.
I tried to make my own but it either looked horrible or it failed to function altogether!

Love your interchanges! You seem to be quite knowledgeable about this subject - may I ask where you get your info from? I'd like to know more about infrastructural concerns, but can't seem to find anything useful in terms of books or references

Great to see a service interchange from timboh. I made a similar service interchange a while ago, the Diverging Diamond Interchange.

Gotta say that the work you put into this is absolutley amazing. Top notch!
Timboh  [author] 23 Mar, 2015 @ 2:30pm
@sullenskulls: Thanks for pointing this out! :) I didn't actually think about the fact that this actually won't work the way it's supposed to for left-hand drive. I'll probably make a B-4 Parclo (basically a mirrored version) as soon as I have time!
sullenskulls 23 Mar, 2015 @ 11:56am
Loving the work you do Timboh, but from what I can see, this is the first of your interchanges that will not function correctly for left-hand drive. Not a problem in that sense, but for those, like myself who choose to drive like a Brit, it should probably be noted.
Lokerian 23 Mar, 2015 @ 9:07am
Thats a nice one, I made my own one a few days ago, which can hold way more capacity than this one, the negative side, is that its bigger, but if you have a crowded city you may want to look into this alternative https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=411307588

Finally, a Parclo!
Anderoz 21 Mar, 2015 @ 8:25am
Loving this interchange, thanks! Your descriptions are the best, too!
Siha 21 Mar, 2015 @ 1:47am
Yay, service interchange! Another step closer to getting my head around traffic management.
MixBlender 20 Mar, 2015 @ 4:49pm
Im learning more about roads from your mods than I would learn in a civil engineering course im pretty sure.
Gunboat Diplomat 19 Mar, 2015 @ 4:09pm
Nice to see the Parclo in your collection. These things are all over the place in Canada, especially Ontario. They are extremely efficient on space and very effective for light to moderate traffic. With enough space and good timings on lights they can handle very heavy traffic too.
Zemas 19 Mar, 2015 @ 2:41pm
Another good job!
