oh look,its futuristic

Interesting concept, however I might suggest a different mechanic than generating electricity for the solar thermal. Photovoltaic (PV) generates electricity from the sun, whereas solar thermal (ST) generates heat. This would be a great green alternative for heating on winter maps, generating no ground OR noise pollution unlike the boiler plant and geothermal plant respectively, with the cost/maintenance and larger footprint to balance it out. Just my 2 cents. Love the PV set.

I agree with roberto tomás , the photovoltaic plant's stats are too low if efficiency, and surface area are taken into account. I see the these thermal park as same level of efficiency as wind (accounting area), with added bonus of no noise polution, at expense of water usage. The photovoltaic parks should be a step-up from thermal/wind before being able to unlock the solar tower. Now, if only someone made a liquid fluoride thorium reactor (LFTR), for an output step up between conventional nuclear and hydroelectric. But I digress... XD

I love these but .. the numbers you used are old. Solar thermal arrays are dead... the largest solar power stations in the world used to be these, up to ~350MW of power. But today there are GW photovoltaic stations that just haven't been officially recognized for a full year of operation, and ~500MW stations that are recognized — in multiple countries. The reason for the switch is that photovoltaics are now more efficient.
I would ask you to consider doubling the power output of the photovoltaic one you made, not really change this one.

Hi Owl, ok thats good to know , that a value of 4 apparently is too high :P
The game really needs a good documentation about what asset values mean...... it was a bit a shot in the dark, setting this value, also I think workers are a bit high still? might do a update fixing those

As far as realism goes, should these things be so flammable? I keep finding my fields are burning down. They're on the outskirts of town and I'm reluctant to give them their own dedicated fire station...seems a bit excessive.

I used your power plant and modified the stats of it. I will upload the modified version myself while crediting your work on the model.

Can you confirm me that it can be accessed through the power tab ?
Because I don't see it in this tab. I'm running OSX version of the game.

@zer6master, the difference is
solar thermal energy park -> has 4 mirrors with the steam turbine next to it
solar thermal park extension -> only 4 mirrors
solar thermal park mirrored -> only 4 mirrors, but mirrors facing oposite direction, so you can place it on the other side of the road :)
combine al 3 assets to build larger parks (just for visual)
Al objects also work stand alone (thats how the game works now)

@makemakey
What is the different between the:

- Solar thermal park extension
- Solar thermal energy park
- Photovoltaic solar energy park

except the costs?

And can i operate the Objects particular?

And how means:
"Combine with Solar thermal energy mirrored and extension for the result in screenshot" ???

How can i combine the particular Objects?

Sorry for the Questions again bur for me it is incorrect obvious ^^

Now possible to combine with Solar thermal energy extension and mirrored for the result in the new screenshot :)

One of my favorites so far. Too bad it's not much use in my city since I don't have much flat space for a good field of these things....hoping for some in-game terraforming tools soon ;)

Ok, thanks for you answer :)
I'll subscribe to this one.
Nice works by the way !

Hi Miles, this is the latest version, re-uploaded to get the "electricity" tag in the workshop, since the latest patch of skylines fixed this :) unfortenately there is no way to add the tag without re-uploading. The old one is also updated to the latest version (added smooth shading)

Is there any differences with your other version : https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=409889449
