Really simple, really useful! TY!

Wow, a realistic power plant. That's a first! :)
Kranchan 24 Apr, 2016 @ 10:23am
How do you change it to only work in the day?
Farago 4 Nov, 2015 @ 6:32am
Update for AD?

I really like it. Thank you very much!

Could you please make a variant that doesn't produce energy at night? (edit: solved it myself by changing the AI to SolarPowerPlantAI)
Oh, and it seems that the LOD is reflecting at night.

Can you increase the output to like 10 or 15 please? Love the mod btw. :)
Jones 27 17 Jul, 2015 @ 4:18am
great, thank you very much.

Great I was looking for a solar park with more realistic size and power outage :)

Is there any way we can get a mod that puts solar panels on the roofs of buildings? If so can we custom brand them?
Darkz0r 9 Apr, 2015 @ 7:52am
Very nice work, I hope the lod is working hehe

Hi, nice work but....

Wtf happens ?

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=420698578

I tought this LOD problem it was fixed and now it's back ? same appears if i unsubscribe and subscribe.

Happen with your 2 versions : https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=410354407
and this one https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=409354116

The 4x4 smaller versions N, S, E, W are okay no glitchy LOD on them.

I highly suggest making this a step-up between wind/thermal and solar tower. Specially for the area they use in the map. Maybe making them more expensive to build and maintained would offset their size and higher output.

Nice Work!

Thanks!

thank you.

Nice! Thanks :)

Uploaded smaller 4x4 versions facing the 4 directions to road, so it is now possible to make smaller parks and more convenient to build on slopes.

I spam it here again, because more people will find this one:

I made some calculations concerning the poweroutput in relation to area consumption in Germany. For those who want the challenge of "real-sized" PV-parks set the values in the asset editor as follows:
ConstructionCost = 1078
MaintenanceCost = 17
ElectricalProduction = 43 (the game shows 0 MW, but it is correctly calculated)

Contact me for calculation.

now if only there was a way to turn off the included solar power or tune down the power to surface area a bit.
Roger 21 Mar, 2015 @ 5:20am
Ok :) Would be nice :3
makemakey  [author] 21 Mar, 2015 @ 12:09am
@ roger no real difference with the other one, i just had to re-upload the assets to let them get the "electricity" tag, before patch 1.06b of skylines the tagging wasnt working, and there unfortenately is no way to modify the tags. Thats why the assets are now 2 times in the workshop. I think about the rotated version ! needs a bit of work but doable yes
Roger 20 Mar, 2015 @ 6:57pm
I really like your asset. The reflection on the solar panels are so beautifull <3

But i have 2 questions:
1. What is the difference between this and https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=409354116

2. Could you make a 16x4 block version? (fewer rows of solar panels but longer ones ^^) So that you can fit this nice panels parallel to a road where this asset is too large. Do you know what i mean? Its too late to explain it in english :'D
Bocamachine 20 Mar, 2015 @ 10:19am
Nice mod.
[GTS] Granny 20 Mar, 2015 @ 10:15am
Very interesting when there will be a day night cicle.
Kiss me if you can.. 20 Mar, 2015 @ 12:46am
nice
Kugisa 19 Mar, 2015 @ 5:37pm
In reality, well made good
makemakey  [author] 19 Mar, 2015 @ 1:48pm
Yeah its a bit much when compared to real life, but from gameplay perspective it is kinda necesary.:-) In one of the screenshots you can see the area you need for powering that city O_o also it is 6MW for the 4x16 area where you can easily put 3 windturbines so it is still worse ;-)
makemakey  [author] 19 Mar, 2015 @ 1:48pm
Yea there is a bit much text in description, :)
Roger 19 Mar, 2015 @ 1:46pm
Ah now i see its 4x16 and not 4x4..... then its ok :D
Roger 19 Mar, 2015 @ 1:42pm
Real nice idea :)and the look nice. But one of them shouldn't provide as much power as an average wind turbine
