Currently not playing the game. Not sure if it's still working for people how haven't bought SH, so I'll leave it up for now, but will update the description.

This building refuses to spawn garbage trucks since SH expansion.

This is better than eco mullvering asset since not only does it not have pollution but processes much faster and can handle more capacity but if it can’t take landfill stuff as others here say then that’s a problem. You should change the name to incinerator since no specialized industrial processing trucks come out of it and give to generic manufacturing. Interesting that the games recycling plant acts as an extractor I guess that’s right since garbage is the raw material like old steel cans are the raw steel making ore stuff for processing then coming out when fully processed as steel slabs so a generic manufacturer can make a steel table etc for IKEA {Kenye West’s fav} the commercial to sell to residential.

@TheEventHorizon [KEK] I haven't really done anything to this since the After Dark expansion, but it's a building from the original game release so it should work just fine with any expansion. Garbage was a huge problem back then so it was one of the first buildings that I modified.

yes. but incinerators cause air pollution. This building does not.

Sorry for not responding to messages in here for a long time. I haven't been playing the game for a long time, but with the new mass transit expansion I'm pretty hyped to come back :) This asset should never really be incompatible with any expansion, since it's just a default building from the original game with modified values. This means it should work without any issues with the upcoming expansion as well. To those of you who are not sure what it does: It's simply a high capacity garbage collector that sends out trucks. You don't need to plop any landfills when using this building.

Can it be used with natural disasters?

does this and these sorts of buildings collect garbage from the populace or do they only take garbage from landfills?

Has the latest update broken this asset? It's my only must have asset.

Works for me, good job

I've been using it myself for like 60-70 hours playtime and it works just fine. It's just a copy of the garbage incinerator with increased truck capacity, and pollution tured down to 0. I have made a downscaled version too, which I've tested to support cities up to around 15000, so you can save some money in the beginning

Has this been tested to actually work? Another recycling center(RC) in the workshop doesn't actually do anyhting with the garbage, just functions as an expensive small capacity landfill(yet another RC mod had a note in it saying it produced just 1 power so it would process the garbage.)

Yeah, I wish that was an option. Maybe if Paradox adds an original recycling center it will actually make use of the materials for industry.

Would be great if it produced a commodity like tin from taking in recyclables!

I haven't done anything with healthcare or police, as I've personally had very little trouble with those, compared to garbage and fire management. But I'll probably make them soon, in case someone wants to use those.

you should make advanced buildings like this for each section like police, health care

Initially I thought this wasn't working because when you first set it up, it says, "Not operating." But it DEFINITELY DOES WORK as promised. I'm not sure why I see those words initially, though. Perhaps because my garbage is already an efficient system? Anyways, thanks.

No, it only gets rid of your garbage. It's basically a garbage incinerator that doesn't pollute or create electricity

does it produce any goods? as in the way industry buildings do?
