Hey! I just discovered a new mod that allows yout to change the transport capacity... Its called IPT" (Improved public transport 2), thats too useful! :hardhat:

Hey... I got this mod and it was working perfectly, but today, when I charged my city, the transport had its normal values, except of the bus, who had 150 passengers, and the game showed me this error:

This is great, but I ended up moving to Advanced Vehicle Options, since it allows changing a bunch of other things and has a super convenient in-game menu.

Few days this mod worked fine but now it doesn't work anymore. Bus capacity has remained in 90 but metro, train, ship and plane capacity is back to default. I don't have After dark expansion. What should I do?

I get this error when I load a map called Nordehaven, its a European biome map.

Other maps haven't given me this error, and the mod works correctly in them, while in Nordehaven the train capacity won't change

Same problem as with Citizen Joe :( Other transport mod (which says outdated) also crashes. :(

Please fix the bug on loading Steam Cloud Saves, apparently they have no file name on load, so errors are causing on save loading. Correct me if I was wrong. :)

It can still be configured to your liking in the .xml file, just follow the "Simple Configuration Guide" above. You can open the xml in notepad to edit it. Make a backup copy of it before you mess with it, just in case Murphy is near by. ;-) The location of the xml given in the guide was not correct for me. Just go to your steam install folder.

mod is erroring out on map load on any map that isn't temperate. Seems to sill function as far as altering transport capacity though, so not sure if this bug is causing unintended behaviour.

While I don't have any issues running this mod with the new update, most public transport vehicles on European maps (bus seems to work though) are not affected by this mod anymore, they still have default capacities.

I am getting an error. On the New rolling hills Euro map, if that makes a difference. It isn't there at all to config. Hope to get it working again, a VERY useful mod. Thanks for doing this.

I've noticed a weird bug, whereby passengers won't board buses and metros. They just stand on the platform like numpties.

This bug was reportedly fixed in a similar mod:

This MOD crashed my game and has now corrupted by save game file which is around 40 hours worth. Can't get it back.

@Youngzack, nope afraid that still doesn't work. I can even load another game with a standard map and get the new capacities after a custom map failed to load the changed capacities. So it seems to be purely related to custom maps for some reason...

redbat. For this to work on custom map, u need to make sure u close the xml file after the changes. I noticed it will go to the standard settings as long as it is up while running the game.

It would be useful to put instructions on how to use this mod in the Description section.
E.g.
1. Subscribe to mod and activate it in the game
2. Load a game and save it
3. Exit to desktop
4. Edit the XML file under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Cities_Skylines\TransportCapacityModSettings.xml
5. Reload the game.

It seems thos mod only works for original maps. Whenever I load a custom map the capacities are all default, but with one of the maps included in the game itself I get the custom capacities.
Is this a bug or known limitation?

This isn't working for me. The xml files has been created but when i go back in to the same none of capacities have been changed, all are still default.

Lehnertz85 has a transport capacity mod with ingame UI (You have to shut down and then replace stations etc for it to work correctly). However they are stopping development and will be removing it from the workshop.

Perhaps you could look there for some inspiration for an ingame GUI or to include cargo capacities too

I am using the this Mod. You can apply following settings to the configuration xml. file by using this realistic data.

This are the capacities of the Vienna transport systems:
Bus: Mercedes Citaro, capacity 105 passengers/unit. Set 105.
Railway: Bombardier Talent, Double-Wagon configuration (8 Units), total capacity 902 passengers, ca. 113 passengers/unit. Set 113.
Metro: Siemens-ELIN-Adtranz V-Wagon (6Units) total capacity 878 passengers, ca. 146 passengers/unit. Set 146.

Aircraft: one of the most used Airplanes Airbus A-320, 168 passengers /unit. Set 168.
